The heterosexual relationship kisses and love scenes have more explicit details with less clothes as well as when it's a lesbian couple; meanwhile if it's a male on male romance their kisses aren't as saucy, nor are their love scenes, and there is hardly any explicit details in their scenes. I wonder why these games tend to be made this way. I do have to say mass effect seems to do a better job with the gay relationships as far as details. You can actually see the kisses, as to where in dragon age 2 guys kissing is only shown from behind; even though we know they're kissing. But in both, the male love scenes are laughable because we don't actually get to see the love making. Only if it's between a male/ female or lesbian relationships. Seems a bit unfair to me, but that's just the fangirl in me talking!

Bioware definitely skimped on the gay romances visually. It's not even about not seeing Ryder shanked with his legs in the air. (Although I know some thirsty gamers would like to see that). But just the sensuality and the kisses. The kisses in the hetero romances are actual kisses with lip locks that you can see. The gay romances are shoddy looking lip bumps and turn aways that we got in Mass effect 2 and 3 We're clearly not at a point where we'll see dicks flailing around in a gay romance in a video game, and to be honest it'd be a bit much. Seeing Cora and Peebee's titties flapping around in the hetero romances felt unnecessarily explicit. But Bioware could and should have given the gay romance scenes the same level of attention. It's also regressive, as you got a bit more from the gay romances in Mass effect 3. Then again, regressive is Mass effect: Andromeda all over.
Gay women also get a similar treatment because Suvi's lesbian romance only got a kiss. Not even a love scene. It really annoys me how there is some romances that gets edited perfectly, leaving very little to the imagination (Cora, Peebee) and they really skimp out on the love scenes for other romances, like Suvi, who didn't get one, Liam, who got a little shirtless action. I mean, with Gil's they didn't have to show dicks, but in Dorian's from Dragon Age: Inquisition, you get a little bare bum action, they could have done the same here. C'mon Bioware! Equal nudity for all! #equalnudity
I must admit, despite my continued frustration with how bare-bones Gil and Suvi's romances are compared to the straight and/or bi characters, this could've been a very compelling romance and is already quite phenomenal for being the only romance in the ME trilogy that you get to have kids in (or plan to have kids, anyway). Like, Garrus said something about it in 3 but didn't go into this much detail about it, lol. If it received the same amount of detail Cora or Peebee's did, this could've been one of the better m|m romances in an RPG to date.

However, Reyes' personality is more firm and demanding, and lemme tell you, a lot their conversations wound up suggestive and FULL of sexual tension (examples: "and what if I don't want you to be a gentleman?""that can be arranged." "You have bad taste in men.""the worst"). Reyes and Ryder are better together sexually, but Gil and Ryder are better together romantically and as a family. AND THEN THERES JAAL

I really like how realistic these two characters are when they speak. The vowels...phonics...phonemes are very well formed. Even their eye movements and body language is realistically worked out. An occasional extreme expression would really make them even more human.....Great job.

They wouldn't need Jil as a surrogate. Considering that it is set in the future, I would assume that only genetic material and an incubator is needed to have a baby. Since men have both X and Y chromosomes, the gender could even be determined between male and female. Hell, they already have genetic modifications in the game and Grunt from ME2 and 3 was a test tube baby. It's not that hard to see.
That's a good point, but I'm really not sure what level biological sciences and enhancements are at in Mass Effect. In lots of ways they seem disproportionately primitive (apart from in creating the Genophage and the examples you gave) compared to their achievements in other areas. Salarians only live for forty years despite having space travel and lived thousands of years alongside asari and krogans. Humans only live for 150 years, which isn't that much longer considering everything else. Only Commander Shepherd in ME2 and 3 has any sign of implants (there might be a few others, but only an insignificant number).
True that the advancements seem a little primitive considering the time frame but according the Back to the Future, flying cars should be a common thing by now (present time). However, when I said genetic modification I meant gene therapy not implants. In Mass Effect 1 there is a side quest called Family Matters that talks about how gene therapy is common place.
I like how they made Gil seem just a little pudgy. In games, tv series, or movies people are either really fit, skinny or grossly overweight. It's nice to see they have some middle ground. Even better that you can romance someone not the 'ideal' physique. I hope they evolve this with the females as well. Diversity makes for a greater story and immersion.
