I love her voice. And when you love somebody or something, you don't mind the deficiencies this somebody or something has. Because you LOVE! I am sure there are thousands and thousands of people who love the voice of Natalie and this is why she will live in our memory forever, despite the critics etc. Great thanks to MagSus for the moment of 3:55. Because for me she will always be the incomparable Nightingale of opera.

I do not know why people are saying she is a fading soprano. I know she has had operations on her vocal cords, but her voice is seemingly undamaged.
My all time fav soparano = her past vocal challenges I feel have only added to the purity of her vocal depth/empathy -- character (achieved only thru the crucible of the battle/doubts she faced post operation).
Thanks Harry. I will gladly listen to this version dedicated to the victims of the Paris attacks. I just wish Natalie had not abandoned opera; she was so wonderful in all her roles, especially Guilio Cesarea and Lucia de Lamamoor. Forgive the misspelling.

Vocally and musically beautiful.....but WHY ON EARTH do you need all the photos that have absolutely nothing to do with the message being sung. It is distracting to the max.
You may be right Lydia , but Nataliie is recorded in studio and Patricia in live , her voice is not yet perfect and her vocal technic not quite controled . Patricia is less professionnal than Natalie but she 's so young ( 18 y. old) , i am impressed by the " feeling" of her singing in spite of her age. I think Patricia may be better in a few years
