This was a awesome video. Very informative. As I was looking to for a way to read a qr code on my BlackBerry motion. This saved the day. Shame you can't just add a Google lens icon to your phone screen.
How do you get it to live translate like that my Lens did it when I first found out about but now when I go to the app for Translate it wants me to take a picture of the words to translate them. I really liked the live translate a lot better.

That's not as daft as it sounds ! Mind you ... they modify foods now and what looks to be ok on the outside may not be a good indicator. A lot of foods are quickly rotting 👇 inside ... you can buy some veg/fruit one day ... looking/feeling perfect & then get it home only to see stuff oozing out of it just a day later etc

I've been looking into Google lens and to use it along with my unreal 5 eng and AI programs to better understand my searches but unsure if the app is worth it.

In this day and age, you can't trust - always some alternative/devious reason ... maybe for spying on you ? Wouldn't be that paranoid an idea would it ? Same is done with mics on phones ! Plus I stopped updating ... so it can't have been added in with an update ! ( Am too paranoid these days ... with all the permissions they slip in ! )

Ugh I know this is an old vid but I came here cuz all of a sudden my google lens is being totally weird and also I noticed now that its different than yours! All I was trying to do was take a photo of my plant to see what kind it was and my google lens always shows up with a box 4 each photo, not just the blue dot. Also my bluendot is always moving around depending on what angle I hold my phone and it can move inside or outside the "box" ( 4 rounded corners on the screen to indicate a box somewhat like what you see when looking in a view finder 4 a camera) and when I take pictures pointed directly at something, the dang lens app will end up with a photo way off from what I took! Like the photo it shows me I took will be of something that's always 10 inches lower than what I pointed my phone at! I dunno whats going on or what this moving blue dot has to do with anything or why it's doing this now but apparently not before, unless I just didnt notice it. And a different thing will happen depending on if I click the blue dot 2 take my pic or if I click on the magnifying glass icon to indicate a search. Oh and ofcourse I have it set to "search" when I do all of this, never "homework" or "shopping" unless I'm actually trying to shop or watev. I do not understand what is happening and youde think Google would at LEAST throw in some basic DIRECTIONS on how to use the dang app, like what the blue dot means and does and if it needs 2 be inside the little "box" to line up the photo and what not. I'm sure things have updated since this vid but maybe someone can help me??
I used this function all the time in my Gallery app.. But today its not working.. I reset the phone , cleared the cache of the Google lens app..uninstalled it and reinstalled it..nothing makes it work again.. It's working just fine if I open the Google Lens app or if I go in Google photos and use it but it's not working in gallery or in my camera or in the Google assistant anymore ..idk what to do

Lens came out in 2017 and nobody knows about it because, as usual, Google didn't tell anyone about it. Google and Microsoft are notorious for doing that: adding bells and whistles to their products and then calling anyone's attention to those bells and whistles.
If object recognition wasn't mind blowing enough, you can also tap different parts of an image with literature so you don't have to type it out?!🤯😊👍❤️I have a Nokia X20 with this as an integrated app & it's awesome! Google Lens rocks!
