    I love how they all look like they're at least trying to mimic the appearance of a human but can only vaguely resemble one since they wouldn't exactly know what a human looks like considering the different environments they live in. Nice work, man.

    I actually personally love this approach of how mermaids would look like because in older stories mermaids would lure in fishermen with their beauty and singing and once they got close enough they would show their true face and eat them whole.Also fish look really weird and the more deeper you dive into the ocean the more weird looking creatures you find so dont be expecting a Ariel look alike lmao.

      A scientific image was created that I saw on a show once about what certain mythical creatures would actually look like, if they actually existed. They put together everything that a creature like a mermaid would need, in order to survive in the ocean. Basically it turned out that a mermaid would need everything a walrus had, skin, body fat and all.. That helps it to survive in those kinds of waters. So there you go, the Walrus species.. The actual mermaids of the oceans..

    • @lolajaramillo4620
      @lolajaramillo4620 4 роки тому +57

      Daniel Zhao Yup. They actually started off with the image of a woman with a fish tale, and as they added all the necessities to her body, she ended up slowly morphing into a manatee. As they say, the mermaids that a lot of people have come to know them as because of stories and tales told throughout time, are nothing more than fantasies that lonely men at sea conjured up, while away from land and women for so long..

    0:02 is mimicking a typical mermaid, with the red hair, but its eyes and mouth are on the stomach and chest. might even be some sort of hammerhead shark??
    0:16 looks like it has a face on top of it, but you can clearly see the mouth right underneath
    0:23, similarly to the first one, is also mimicking a more typical mermaid. the undulating ""hair"" is supposed to look like human hair with a face barely poking through
    0:41 almost looks like a shark on its back. it might almost be trying to mimic a face too, but it definitely has human ribs down
    0:59 is again mimicking a more typical mermaid. its false face looks like hair floating on the surface of water, and if you look close enough you can see a nose and a mouth

    Outstanding. The last piece of footage should have the lore that the mermaid depicted hangs around ship wrecks due to their small evolutionary human like traits of having a liking and understanding of technology. They evolve mentally by learning things from ship wrecks. In old sailor lore, this bizarre creature's behavior would be mistaken as an ocean spirit guarding ship wrecks and ushering sailors' souls to the afterlife (or claiming them.)
