I love watching your build videos, they're always easy to follow and very informative. I remember building one of these chassis, it was so easy, a real pleasure to put together with no issues. Awesome video as always!!
Hi Barry and many thanks for the kind words! 🙏 It's good to know that you enjoyed the build of this great chassis, too. Now I've just got to get cracking on that lovely bodywork! All the best, cheers! 😁 👌👍
Looking good Mark! That has to be one of the biggest bumpers on an any Tamiya kit, every time I see it cracks me up. I get why it is like that but with the body of it cracks me up!!! Looking forward to seeing the next episode where it is all done up and ready to rock!
Thanks Addam! Haha 😄 yeah the biggest bumper in relation to the size of the chassis in the universe!!! 🤣 I think it looks ridiculous myself but as you said, I get why it's there. I might just remove it for one very steady run in front of the camera! All the best, dude! 😁 👊👍
The master at work! There is something very relaxing about watching your builds Mark. There is a confidence to go on and build one after! Tamiya really need to start getting you pre release kits to build matey!!
Well Craig, I don't know about master, but thanks all the same! Glad you find them relaxing though, I do try to build and stay calm as I go along! If only I could get pre-releases mate, that would be a dream indeed! Thanks again and all the best my good mate! 🤗👊👍
Hi Mark. This chassis is cool. The blue, black and titanium look really good. Your Rally Car builds always come together nicely and run great on the dirt and gravel👍🏾
Hi Paul, yes this is one of my fave Tamiya chassis! Love the colour variations (some think them strange!) Let's hope this one runs as good as it looks, I have a good feeling about it though! Take care my good friend! 😎🙏👍
That came together nicely, Mark! I think especially this time, I will be looking forward to seeing the body come together, I really like that Lancia! Have a lovely weekend there, mate!
Hiya Mads, I hope you're doing OK 👍 Yeah the TA02 is a nice easy build for sure and feels good and strong! I think I said before that I'm a bit worried about the bodywork but I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet! Hope your Sunday is good my friend! Cheers! 😎✌👍
Hi Martin and thanks very much! Definitely agree with you about this one. Easy build, nice and sturdy but handles great with an iconic body to top it all off! All the best! 😎👌👍
Just began my DT-03 Racing Fighter project. My first ever "cut out the body shell and spoiler and paint them" job. Was not looking forward to the cutting out - what a veritable pain in the backside - but at least I had the good sense to take it slow and buy some good sanding blocks. It has come out better than I expected. Not perfect, but good enough. It will be washed and allowed to dry overnight ready for the paint tomorrow. I've taken inspiration from your build and decided to go for a custom paint job as the box art orange is hideous. My previous builds had hard body shells. I guess the cutting out gets easier with experience. You build videos are the encouragement I need to do the trickier aspects of my builds.
@Jess JJCat I've already got the lexan scissors and fortunately this body has no wheel arches, but your helpful tip is noted for my future projects. Thanks. I've just finished the paint job and it has come out far better than I expected. The colour isn't popping quite as much as I'd like so I'm thinking I will need to back it with some black.
Hi Nick, the DT03 is a great kit to put together, isn't it? Glad you are getting there with the body - it does get easier the more practice you have. As you said, slow and steady is the best approach. I'm really pleased to hear that my videos have been of some help, it really makes them worthwhile doing even if only one person finds them useful! All the best with finishing your buggy!
@@MarkBryanRC Thanks Mark. The colour looks a lot better in the natural light of day and with the covering removed. Not entirely happy with the spoiler though. The odd crevices need some work with a brush. I actually began with the body before the build as it is still my least favourite part of building. Once that is out of the way I'm free to really enjoy the rest of the build. Have begun the build. Parts bag A this afternoon. 👍
Yeah they always look better with the film off and in natural light! I had the same issue with the spoiler, spray a little PS paint into the lid and apply with a little brush. 😎👌👍
Cheers for listening along to my waffle, Nick! Now I gotta tell you I'm a bit worried about messing up the body! Fingers crossed 🤞 for me! All the best my good friend! 👍
Thanks very much Tony! It really is a great kit to put together and I agree, you do get a lot included for the money 💰! All the best, mate and cheers! 😎👌👍
Many thanks, Cat! 🐈 Yes I'm sure this one will be a real looker when finished as long as I don't make a mess of the body!!! Thanks for watching and all the best my good friend! Cheers! 🙏🤗👍
Hey Cobber😁. I've never built that chassis before, it looks really good👌. Nice looking chrome rims too. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can never get the servo saver to be centered without adjusting the trim, I used to think it was my servo until I took the time to do some testing and found the saver splines were the problem. Great detailed video mate thanks for sharing 👍🦘🇦🇺
Hi there Cobber! Yes it really is a great chassis and a pleasure to build. Hope the chrome rims don't get chipped! Ah, the servo - never had a single one that lined up perfectly central!!! 🤣 I reckon they make them like that on purpose!!! Thanks for the awesome support my mate! 😎👌👍
This build of the Lancia is coming along nicely Mark. Makes me wonder what Rob is building so you guys can make an epic video together after it’s all built!🤔😃🤪👍🏻
Hi there Robby! Always good to hear from you my friend! Yes the chassis is ready for the body now, not sure what Rob is working on at the moment but I'm sure we'll be making another video soon. Take care, dude! 😎👌👍
Hi there Mark, just love your detailed build guides, so well videoed, edited and presented, awesome work, anyone building a TA-02 will have no trouble at all, with your help. I hoping soon to have some more flexibility to get back to my hobby table, missing the tinkering (oOo er! 😂) best wishes to you and the family my friend 😊
Hi John and thanks for tuning in again, always appreciated here my friend!😊 I do hope that you are recovering well and feeling a little better. 🤞 You are too kind with your comment but it's nice to read all the same! Tinker time will come in no time mate! All the best to you and yours! 🤗👌👊👍
Lovely Mark, cant wait to see it with the body finished, i do love the Tamiya TA chassis,my TopForce is basically a TA chassis but with a frp chassis and top deck instead of a tub, be it a bit wider and longer.Cant wait to see a running video to see what u think of the handling.Cant beat a good old group B rally car and the Lancia was such a looker,i wish Tamiya did a Opel Manta 400 and a Delta S4 body, that would b great😊.Fantastic video as usual bud, have a great weekend 👍
Hi Carl and thanks for the great comment! Yeah, this is a very cool chassis indeed. I noticed the same components on the Top Force in videos here, but haven't got one (yet!!!). So nice with those FRP decks. Too right, the Manta and S4 should be in the Tamiya line-up! You never know! Cheers mate, hope your weekends going well, too! 😎🤞👍
looking great marky boy chassis looks fantastic as always passed the drop test too hehe love those rims proper old skool man 😎😎good luck on the shell man 👍
It's a smashing little chassis ain't it mate?!?! Hehe yeah the drop test was well and truly passed! 😜 Thanks for the good wishes for them shell, I bloody need that bruv! 🙏 All the best my mate! 👍
Another great instalment Mr Bryan! Comming on great buddy. Your very detailed instructions on setting up the servo, ESC, etc etc would be very beneficial to any Tamiya virgin watching. Fitting the servo saver always bugs me as it never fits straight as you pointed out..... even though we can fine tune using the trim, it still really grinds my gears! 🤣 This one's guna be a proper looker once completed! 😊 👍 👍 👍 👍
Why thank you very much, Sir! Yep, this part is done and I'm very pleased with it. As for the video, I always try to make a build guide for folks that are new(ish) to the hobby or are unsure about certain parts of the build. I don't think there's any point in trying to make them for very experienced RC fans, they don't need a build guide! But I think some modelling veterans do watch to see what's involved in building a kit they've never done before. Fingers crossed for that hard body!!! Cheers my mate! 😎👌👍
@@MarkBryanRC Definitely mate, perfect easy to digest guide for anyone new to the hobby..... But at the same time, I love seeing an in depth close up look at the models that I haven't owned/built before. Sometimes, I will watch one of these builds on a chassis I've previously dismissed and think "ooh, I quite like the look of that"...... Also enjoy watching others build ones I've already done, interesting to see how others tackle various challenges..... I noticed none of your E clips in your clod hubs didn't ping off across the room on your clod build like mine did for example! 🤣 All good viewing mate! 👍 👍 👍 👍
Hiya Mark. Another great instalment mate with top tips aplenty. Looks like a really solid little chassis. Don't forget to add weight to make sure that it weighs 100kg 😂 That front bumper is crazy huge isn't it? Are you going to dare to run it without that? You managed to make a video of your Audi Quattro without destroying the spotlights although I guess that was bendy lexan which would absorb a bit of impact. I look forward to seeing it complete and blasting about. A race with Dom perhaps? Hope you are having a smashing Friday my friend. Best wishes 😁👍👍
Hi there Pete! How ya doing mate? Always a pleasure to read your comments, my Friday was good thanks 😊! Yeah this is a great little chassis with a ginormous bumper!!! I am not sure about running without it though! Maybe a slow little run for the camera! The Audi is still in one piece but as you say it is made of a more robust material. I've got a lot on the go at the minute so it may be a while until that body is done. Anyway, thanks as always my good friend and happy Sunday to you! Cheers! 😎👊👍
Hi Mark, I reckon this is one of the best Tamiya chassis, not just for the build but the handling too. Also, did you know that there is an alternative bumper that doesn't stick out the front, it looks so much better but it does leave the body a bit vulnerable.
Hi there and many thanks for the great comment! I agree this is am excellent chassis and is wonderful to drive too. Yeah there is a small bumper in the kit but I'm worried about those headlights! I might just do one run for the camera without the bumper though! Cheers 😎 👌👍

Hiya Mal! Yes, nice and easy to build, very relaxing! Oh, the body - panicking a bit about that one!!! 🤣🤞👍
@@MarkBryanRC 🙂I would be as well, but what a nice looking thing.
