How long do you think that's going to last come on now crazy I mean hot glue hot glue barely holds on some of the crafts that you do make and I know that I'm Crafter and I have to put some of the crazy glue with my hot glue in order for them to endure longer
It may not hold permanently, but may help to hold it in place while you're putting everything up. Or at least that's what I was thinking while I was watching it
If you're hot glue doesn't hold well maybe you're not applying enough or you're using a very cheap hot glue you could get the gorilla hot glue sticks they work great or you could use E6000 and hot glue that works wonderfully
Many of you are complaining about hot glue not holding up in the weather. There are construction grade hot glue sticks that will work. Acrylic hot glue shouldn't become brittle in the cold. Gorilla Glue has lasted in -16 degs in some instances. Do some research online & you might find something suitable for your needs.
Some good ideas, but I have an elderly father & attaching ANYTHING to a hand railing seems ill conceived! His safety is far more important than placing baubles on something he needs to lean on for stability.
Where did you purchase the vinyl sticky paper ( looked like shipping crates) that covered the cardboard boxes? I absolutely love your videos! Thank you!
Hi I just wanted to say I love this this video is really cool and can help me decorate I should have watched this video your videos different from everybody else you show all the❤
What is the black piping used for walkway arch? Thanks for ideas, wish had info on each, slower video & at least entire song so not same part repeated.
Just to get supplies alone to make some of these is actually more expensive than just going and buying the finished product... Some of this DYI is just so ridiculous
FYI: using hot glue for especially the first one (hanging lights on brick) is NOT going to work….unless you want to redo it every day or so. For outside you have to use something like e6000. You could put a little dab here and there to hold things together while the other adhesive dries, but not alone. It doesn’t do well in the heat or the cold. Smh
Some practical hacks to prepare for the inflation and depression coming after the Christmas: Limit unnecessary spending, Pay attention to your health, Invest and spread your assets and while at it, always make correct inquiries so you don't throw your money in the wind or better still, get the services of an expert (that way, you give little room for error). Been using these for 2 years now and finally made up to a million. I may be prepared, are you? or you want to completely empty your reserves this Christmas?
Amazing approach though a bit extreme... You mentioned getting assets and using pros, if its not a problem. do you mind telling which asset type, if you used one or recommending a good one? Been thinking about doing something lately... I look forward to you replying...
@@chriswilliams2061 It's not supposed to be easy, the effects are harder. Mostly Stocks and yes, I used one, I literally know next to nothing on the subject. @Kentucky This right here is the second time I am coming across this name in a week. Came to my workplace for a program and it was lit. found nothing funny bout his accent though
Try Liquid Nail Glue (not the one for the fingertips). Weather resistant, dries clear with superb hold. Just wish these craft videos wld use better glue than hot glue. That's why most ppl don't do projects. Best of luck and blessings to you
Yeah glue is a rotten choice for any outdoor things. I use e6000 with a few drops of hot glue just to hold it together while the stronger adhesive dries. Never had any issues
Sorry hot glue does not work on brick, let alone anything else outside in the cold, once it hardens and is cold it literally falls off! I just tried it last night...the strand wasn't still hung in the morning!
You can buy these hooks that attach to either brick or siding and it doesn’t leave any holes. You can remove them when not in use. I hope this helps. ❤
I used clear gorilla tape to hang my lights last year and it worked great. And I’m in central Illinois and we had some good winds and a good amount of snow.
Did you have tape residue left behind when you took it down? I've used clear packing tape to keep ribbon and cords down on my white vinyl covered porch posts and it is a Pain to clean the residue, even with GooGone
@@kathrynriggs2489 yes I did. I’m going to do the same thing this winter using clear gorilla tape. This spring I will probably hits the residue with goo gone and then pressure wash as well.
Where do you find the directions for how exactly to make a lot of these crafty ideas for the holidays??? I truly do not like videos they just play music n show you things done on super fast sowed n then expect us to be able to recreate it!!! How about giving some actual directions???
Love all the ideas. Turned the music down, really got annoying. Wish I had a place for all these great ideas. I’m definitely going to try the Christmas tree using the tomato cage. Never would have thought of that!
I agree about the music. I wish most videos would do away with it altogether. It can be very distracting at times. Otherwise, I really like some of these great ideas. Thank you.
Some of them may look good, but the amount of plastic rubbish people create with these ideas is just shocking. Maybe it’s time to think differently and organically.
It won’t work outdoors really in any weather. Heat just melts it and cold snaps it kinda. I hate they used hot glue for these. I get they were trying to just get things done and hung up but they should’ve at least put on screen, “use a strong adhesive like e6000 for outdoor decor”…..something! Drove me crazy the whole video lol
I love that these are actual hacks in the sense that they're a cost-saving version of what you can buy pre-made at the store! Inflation hits hard and so many 'hacks' either don't work or end up costing more, so this video was a refreshing change of pace. The flowerpot tomato cage trees at 0:28, metal bowl bells at 5:24, stack of gifts at 5:40, giant ball ornaments at 6:04, ornament wreath at 7:08, arches at 7:30 were my favorites
Yes. I liked those and also using the plastic bowls to make the big Christmas light balls I see in trees at Christmas. The bought version is very expensive. A lot of good ideas . I also liked the huge wreath made using a pool noodle.
In the north too. The cold just makes it all fall apart. It was a stupid choice to show them using that, especially because there are some people that don’t know it isn’t useful for outdoors
Please don’t use hot glue on electrical. Heat like that isn’t meant for electrical. Also, it doesn’t work. Just use hooks, Command hooks (check for weight limits) and zip ties. Nails work too but trying to limit the holes in your home is obviously preferred.
Not realistic if you live in Snow areas half these porch diy. In my area the wind and snow would take everything down in a min. Stop posting unrealistic expectations for diy.
Using the hot glue gun outdoors to hold up the weight of something like the lights is nt a good idea . I doubt very much it will hold much longer than the duration of filming this .

Hot glue wouldn’t work in my city. Too windy, rainy and some cold temperatures. In Victoria BC Canada. Weather very similar to Seattle Wa
Have you tried the New Gorilla Hot Glue yet ???

These have been around for awhile. The music was a bit obnoxious
Ty for sharing your ideas. And for those who thought it went too fast, I think it was just for inspiration, more so than directions 🤷♀️
If it goes too fast just slow down the speed in settings, that's what I do.
All of these outdoor decorating is really nice, but... I live in an area where the snow would take over all of it.
omg what music choice is this??? i cant even think! had to press the mute button
Some good ideas, but I have an elderly father & attaching ANYTHING to a hand railing seems ill conceived! His safety is far more important than placing baubles on something he needs to lean on for stability.

In my area you can never find tomato cages in fall, only spring and summer.🍁🍂🍁💚🙃
Can you order online?
You could probably use wooden dowels from one of the big hardware stores
I buy them when I find some and store them
I put garland on my front porch guard rails with wire ties .
Okay.....that tomato cage tree idea was pretty brilliant 👏
HOWEVER.....that hot glue won't be holding up jack after all that ice and snow hit LOL
Some of these things are cute. But don't you have wind in your area. Those plastic bowls with the lights would be down the street by me. 😂
Loved all ideals
Home talk. Always amazing
I like to use one inch staples for my Christmas lights and I like to staple them down every two to three inches on my shingles like Clark W. Griswald
