Only the products are cheap. Not the people living.
Never step on filipino's pride they will rip you apart.
There was once an incedent at a bar in phil. which an american man spit over a womans pride. Then guess what, the american guy was knockout in a matter of sec. by the girl! So when you visit in there as a foreigner, dont y'all ever harass.

I am a Filipino and I just went here last month. Food and other things are costly in El Nido (I highly recommend to buy souvenirs in Puerto Princesa since it's way cheaper there) but that's to be expected when you travel and besides, El Nido is very far from the capital. Food cost around 300 pesos or around $5 - $6 but the food they serve is good for two people. Tours in El Nido are cheaper though for a solo traveller, cost around $20 or 1000 pesos for an island hopping tour. Hotel expense vary, I got mine for 500 pesos only or $7 - $8 dollars. As for the place, El Nido is stunning and beautiful and foreigner friendly, like you see more foreigners than locals there

honestly. that is a good question. there are many thieves here but only around specific areas normally either very crowded places(markets, malls, stations) or very isolated places(suburban areas, neighbourhoods, provinces) and the safest places where you could put down your stuff are places where you have people around like family or friends but honestly that's my experience. alot of people around me got robbed(in their homes, buses, airports) what i can say for sure is that if you are afraid of losing stuff just use a U.V. service for travelling, leave your valuables at home or keep on your person at all times, don't flex much or obviously you will be a target for having much stuff.

I’m really happy for Brett. I remember he barely had any Subscribers and his views were pretty low too. He had UA-camr friends in NYC that were doing way better-than him already. I remember thinking, “I Like Brett but he’ll never catch up to his friends with this YT stuff. He’s working his ass off and living kind of minimalistic to try And make it as a Vlogger.” And look at him now. He obviously still has a long ways up to go but he’s living life the way he worked hard to do so. I’m really proud of him and it has been incredible to watch.

For those wondering about the first accommodation he went it, it's a dorm style accommodation and of course it's CHEAP and since it is cheap, don't expect anything a normal dorm could not reach. As for the second one, the air-con doesn't work maybe because he paid for the fan. We own a little tourist inn and our rooms both have an air-con and a fan. If they paid for the fan (a bit cheaper than AC) we will turn the AC off (that's how it works)and based on the price $14 (700 pesos), normally it is for fan rooms.
For those Filos that are complaining about the prices of those rip offs, it's normal in here (it's expensive coz El Nido is a tourists spot) those prices goes for everyone tho, locals or not.
For those who's going to visit El Nido, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here but please take care of your belongings and especially your trash properly. We are ✈️ plastic free here😊
