This idea is brilliant! We used the same instructions, with slight alterations, to make an onion costume for our one year old, and it is awesome! This genuinely inspired me to get into sewing!
Thank you very much, I never sow. Ended up sowing by hand, didn’t take that long, did it in the evenings during the long bedtime routine. I added some stuffing to the head piece and had it with a hair band as suggested. Came out adorable! So pleased! Thanks very much!

How did you get the circumference measurement?
I didn't measure but just guessed. I would do at least 1.5 circumference or 2 circumference.

What size elastic did you use?
I used 1/4 inch wide elastic

depending on the size of the adult you could try double the size of all the numbers.
Is there elastic on the neck?
Yes there is an elastic casing along the top neckline and along the bottom
How do you thread the elastic through
I attach a safety pin onto the end of the elastic to thread it through
