I am ordering a 24 or 32 inch Kromski Forte loom with double heddles. I have been researching and trying out different looms. You have done great!!! I am getting a pair of 12 dent reeds as well. You can also use cotton thread for your warp and/or weft.

If you use two warp threads on each edge you'll find your edges come out better :D

Man, I just love you! You could be peeling potatoes and I'd still watch your videos! So with that said, I don't have a clue what weaving entails but with your enthusiasm, I'd like to learn. Our school of crafts here host workshops for all kinds of Fiber arts, so I may just check into taking a class... and it's all your fault lol. Thanks Mr Fiber Spider! 💞

I hope you LOVE this little loom for many years. When I started weaving I dove right into the big boys pools and got a Schacht Baby Wolf 8 heddle floor loom. In all honesty I wish I had started with something like this cricket so I could have learned the basics before diving in to huge complexity. I did figure it out and love my floor loom now but it was a very painful process. :)

How kind of you to make this video! i think I am convinced. I especially loved your bookmark because I am very much a "receipt or scrap paper" type of bookmarker. I didn't exactly understand the part about why the warp yarn wasn't visible but I love how proud you are of your work. That is something that never gets old. Amirite? Anyway friend, thank you for your enthusiasm. It is contagious.

    Hi 'FIBI-SPIDI'
I've done some weaving in the past. You should be proud of those projects! Your edges are amazingly strait for you experience! Which i sou attribute to cross-over skills from knitting and crocheting.
I would love to see videos on warping, weaving, projects, etc.
The weaving strands are called weft. so the loom anchored threads are warp and when you weave with the shuttle you are adding weft. weft goes left and right warp up and down.
Also what are you using to 'beat' the weft into place to get the tightly woven fabric?
The book mark is a lovely example of different weaves. most weavings are done with varying weight warps and wefts. look at your clothing. lots of times the warp is not dominate in the weave, which is done purposefully by using a lighter weight weft. there are numerous ways to alter the weave. look into it further. i like books because i feel the author really has to prove their knowledge and skill to be published. go to the library or bookstore to check it out. ill research online to see what i think has good info and share what i find. thx, bernadette

Fast forward a few years later, I purchased my first weaving loom recently because I wanted to make dishtowels. My first dishtowels were a bit of a fail but i am determined to continue. I know I'm a little late since your video premiered, but am curious to know what else you've made.

Well, I am definitely interested in seeing you do lots more on this , It has peaked my interest totally! Now, I have to tell you why it has. I grew up in a family of crafters here... tatting, knitting, crocheting, rug making, wood working and yes, WEAVING also. My dad made beautiful furniture and could do anything with wood. He got in to rug making and weaving due to being around the grandmothers and aunts (huge family). He didn't like the quality and sizes of the available looms, so he made... yes... made his own! They were for the larger rug yarns, and he made them adjustable. I was so very young at the time, I didn't pay close attention but was always fascinated watching him make things. He also had some for finer yarns and more of a tapestry type rug as well. So yes, I am VERY interested in watching you learn and seeing you do this. Dad's pieces were amazing and gorgeous... sadly he mostly sold what he made... so with the exception of a very few things, they are all gone now. Am thinking this would be a good starting point for me, this particular loom, I absolutely love this size. The small ones look fun, but this one? Oh definitely! Sorry for the long winded explanation here, but as always, this totally rocks! Thank you so much!
