I have the ICF-M350V. This US model has the weather band instead of LW and appears to be slimmer than yours with just a small flip-out stand at the back rather than the handle on yours. It is interesting how Sony still makes region-specific models.
Yeah and the one I just got in the US is also comes with the little flip out stand and no handle, but came with the strip handle. I got another used vintage radio Sony ifc 750W - the back of this one on the video looks identical and also has a handle. So it looks like Sony may have used many of the same body for other Sony radios.
SANGEAN DT-200V, only have US TV sound Band frequencies (2CH - 6CH: 59.75 - 87.75 MHz, 7CH - 13CH: 179.75 - 215.75 MHz), AM (in 10 kHz stepping: 520 - 1620 kHz or 1710 kHz), FM: 87.5 - 108.0 MHz.
Hi Neal. I have the Sony m50rds and it does set the time via RDS. yes it's a pity they could not have put a back up battery in there to save the memories. Mine is quite sensitive on all bands. I have not had the problem with the mains battery switch, but am awaire of the problem as my sister had the problem on hers and I just re flowed the connections and it was fine. Keep the videos coming. Thanks from Derrick.
I got mines today and hope the battery problem doesn’t occur on mine. When i was giving it a cleaning, that little stand tab is a little stiff to pull out and it snaps into a little tab. I can see it breaking off easy if you’re not careful , so don’t force it open Everything looks straight forward, but I can’t figure out how to set the presets bc when you try to hold the button down, it takes you to what it’s already set at or to the default setting. I’m still watching as I’m typing this comment, so you may still be covering the presets.
When I first turn on on my US version that I just got off eBay, which is thinner and no handle, i do see the 3 squares, but maybe a battery check indicator when first turned on and hasn’t caused me any issues. Now I forget what your problem was and maybe not able to turn the radio on or off?
I see the 3 squares flashes when the radio is off to let you know the battery is low. But in your case the battery is strong and the indicator is faulty. I only see the 3 square when I first turn on the radio and goes away after one flash. I guess that’s normal.
I have this radio the m750, it's not a very good radio, I've had issues with it, for one the am stopped working can't figure out why. The battery says its low even with newer batteries. The speaker is cheap it broke so when a metal song comes on it sounds bad. I should have gotten the Sony Liv I've heard great things about it.
I just got the American version ICF M350 and it’s thinner and more like the LIV version but in black and comes with a string handle. I just set it up and even figured out how to set the presets. Press enter while on the station you want and then press one of the set button and that should hold the stations

M350S has the Shortwave Band, AM and FM only. AM stepping switch to 10 kHz, M350S and M350L (LW) : 530 - 1610 kHz.
AM stepping switch for US model ICF-M350V, 531 - 1710 kHz (for Guam, Saipan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines; uses US analog TV frequencies.
TV band on ICF-M350V, tune to channel 5CH, using HRD-831 FM transmitter to 81.7 FM and works great.

add a ceramic filter to the intermediate frequency for selectivity and sensitivity, SONY has reserved room for it
double murata e10.7a and 1K rezistor
Thank you
Can I ask how you set pretune memory on the 750 please . I found an old and it's working
I don’t have the radio to hand at the moment but I think you just hold the preset button down for a few seconds and it stores the current staton.
Is it just the unit you got that’s problematic or this happens to many of these models? I’m asking bc i see many on eBay for sale and cheap,
