I prefer the unlined Showa 281 gloves (1-2 sizes larger than what I normally wear) and using my own liner gloves. I have been using them for a couple of years. They are great for paddling in cool weather too

@@adventure_alan_co Ya pogies are great. I do have them and neoprene gloves for very cold weather or whitewater paddling

The 282-02's have a hiker with trekking poles on the package now. These have a strong smell out of the box, I put them outside to air out. Definitely size up, I usually wear a xl and I ordered a xxl and they are barely big enough. I will be testing these on the Pinhoti Trail this winter. These should be good for those 33 deg F rainy days. It's hard to find gloves for that work in freezing rain.

Here's wishing you warm hands. And yes, they do have a strong smell out of the bag. Best, -alan

Should have a picture of Skurka on the package as I know he has preached them for a while. It is cool they are marking them for outdoor sports now as they have risen in popularity.

Those seem ideal for us in Oregon.
