We are still in our honeymoon cottage … houses are on acre plus … had house built . Was a VERY NICE subdivision back in 1986 .. old homesteads in the back .. was able to target practice , harvest mess of squirrels…. The city from 35 miles away invaded our little county … past 30 thought about moving further out But job in elevator maint ,,, longer commute didnt appeal to me…. We got through raising 3 kids , homeschooled from day one to college , n got em all out debt-free. … I like you looked / shopped around at churches … mostly not conservative enough … but there were issues with that too.. churched ( if you will) by ourselves with the BOOK ,, Sunday hikes . Then found like believers and house churches for 14 years ,,, did non denomination ,, n returned to house church … by chance the first group we did the house church with .. there was an ordained minister ,,, but he was just like any other father there.. I don’t believe in my humble opinion that that’s needed.. I’m saying that there are options out there .. read a lot of books on house churching .. there’s about as many different ways to do it as there are? … well there’s a lot of different ways. main thing is if you go house to house like the first Christians… it makes each father more responsible.. when you meet at the same place it tends to… Give the Authority of the homeowner pointman status… If anything, I’m just mentioning this as FOOD FOR THOUGHT . But just thinking about stuff going on with neighbors ,,, and some other things you mentioned in the past… I’m 66 now,, lot of water under the bridge… I’ll just throw another saying out there ,, my wife often says well don’t sweat it; this earth is not our home! Our neighbors have came and went over the years… kids with loud cars usually the car only last a couple months,,, motorcycle same way… these things or like the terrible twos… it will soon pass. Keep up spending time with family … I used to take my three kids grocery store, shopping flea marketing,,, junkyard parts hunting,,(tell the oldest watch out for the youngest that their snakes out there they wouldn’t move from hoods of cars).. I’ve missed out on a lot of overtime because we chose family time and simple life of week end together. But I did work some longer shifts. By the way , my brother gave my youngest a Spyderco knife kit… she had a blast putting that together . And she must’ve been flicking that ‘knife ‘ thing open for a couple months. Just an idea.. Keep up the good work !
