- Its a good thing madokas special is so broken cause i never would have beat Oktavia at lvl 1 if it wasn't...
To fight Oktavia let sayaka die on any stage and her stage will appear on the stage select screen. I recommend leveling up before you fight her since even on lap 1 Oktavia has 1 hit kill moves and a lot of heath.

Maybe she's used to it. She turns into a witch in every single timeline and, even in Madoka's witch free future, she still dies. Karmic destiny really doesn't like Sayaka. XD

Really missed this game. The system design for soul gem makes so much sense and can highly relate to the anime (death --> darkens soul / countdown / using magical consumes energy)
Even the battles are legit. It really feels like the real madoka world
but the hitbox though...
Funny how you need to kill off the strongest magi of the five to get Oktavia...

i find Madoka really hard to use, for me Sayaka is just the best, she takes so little damage, her attacks deal good damage though they are the shortest range of all magical girls but with her special it isnt a problem at all, I found her special so useful, it may seem underpowered but i can be everywhere and anywhere i want with it and I can just spam it, you will rarely run out of special charge because its so cheap, well unless Sayaka is low on hp.
If you ask me, it would be pretty odd using Sayaka against Octavia.
Now that I finished playing on low laps, on higher laps like 100 or higher Madoka indeed probably is the best, when you can die to one hit, strong ranged attack and Madoka's special are invaluable.
+werr kowalski Mami is the hardest to use; but I have the most fun playing with her because she deals damage like a beast but takes a lot of damage and her OP special is just ridiculous.
However Sayaka and Kyoko are definitely the easier 2 to use, Sayaka is a tank and it is almost impossible to get her dead and that is why most people don't unlock the Oktavia Stage, and Kyoko is a fast heavy hitter with decent range. Homura is also a lot of fun although it takes strategy and brains to work with her subpar soul limit and all the damage she takes; but her weapons and ability really destroy.
Moemura is just horrible, tho.

Yeah it would be odd, and I'm pretty sure it's literally impossible to do so, since Sayaka must die on that lap for Octavia to appear, and you can't revive her until the next lap. (It's been a while, I think they revive between laps, that or it's just flatly permanent.)

My first look at a video of Madoka Magica Grief Syndrome. I really like the idea of a 2D 16-bit-esc Madoka Magica game. But the oddly realistic looks of the witches is still there. And I'm okay with that. I mean its COMPLETELY show accurate anyway.

@snakefh Actually, after she dies, you can choose to fight this boss or not. In multiplayer mode, beating a stage and losing Sayaka unlocks the next stage AND Oktavia stage.
I can't forgive you, Madoka! First you throw your friend off of a bridge and onto a truck, but how you have to kill her and use her grief seed! For shame! -.-

I'm late as fuck, but Madoka through away her soul gem because she thought it would save Sayaka. She didn't know at the time how soul gems work.

The original Little Mermaid, the one written by Andersen, did not get the prince. She basically sold her soul so she could walk on land, and when she found the prince, he was about to marry another girl.

@rgzdev Sayaka is playable but when she dies (she cant revive in this game all characters just have 1 life if one die you cant use her in future missions) you face this boss one stage before walpurgis night

walpurgis is easy especially with madoka dodge her very slow attacks and very noticeably telegraphed attacks and it goes down easy

Madoka has the highest soul limit, i think... So it makes the survivability issue easier to deal with. And the arrow rain is op as f*ck.

Shiro Massacre when you play madoka she is able to use her special twice but when her level gets higher she is able to use her special almost about 3 times a row (if i could remember because i only play as sayaka because she is easy to play and i haven't played as madoka for awhile)
