MatyoSai both those skills have kuroko use physics to his advantage. he uses a spin ball for his ingite pass kai to make it hard to block and his cyclone pass uses the momentum he gets from spinning. physically he's the weakest character in the show. thats the point. so he makes up for it with creativity and skill.

Think about it, how powerful do you have to be to be able to send a ball from one length of a basketball court to another without air resistance slowing down velocity, being skilled enough that when you're out of power for yourself, you basically cloak EVERYONE AROUND YOU in a cloak of invisibility, shoot vanishing balls and still hav the ability to boost the morale of your team to ridiculous levels when hope is lost? Kuroko, I think, is probably truly the best out of all of them... (With the exception of Akashi. Just becuase of that guy's split0personas and the fact that the Emperor Eye is cheap as Fluffy Kittens.)

God I love Kuroko. He's amazing at something most people would never think to develop high level talent in, his politeness is actually sincere, and he WANTS to be the shadow, it's not something he's accepted because he can't be anything else. That eye at 1:44 would put me off my game worse than anything any other player has ever demonstrated in the anime so far.
HotaruZoku kuroko literally only became the shadow because he wanted to contribute. it's not like its his personal preference. it's because in teiko and especially with akashi it was "be the phantom or you can fuck off."
To be completely honest, he is a monster in his own way same as the others. He excels most at passing, can shoot, can't dribble but he plays a supporting role. He is the gatekeeper to true zone for Seirin (dont know bout Vorpal Swords) and can completely change the flow of a game by just passing alot lol. He also has his own emperor eyes that can predict teammates' movement which helps drastically in true zone. (im such a sad adult replying to comments 5 yrs ago lol)
I've played Basketball for almost 9 years, this was my last year to play. It's anime, it's not meant to be realistic, stop bitching. No one is holding your face to the screen and making you watch it. If it were realistic I really don't think they would had even made it past the first season, let along get past a few chapters in the manga. Kuroko no Basuke is one of the better animes like this I've seen in years. It's got a good plot and character development is done very well. Even though it may take 5+ eps to finish one game, there's still a good bit of humor threw out the show. (Then there's always Season 2 ep 12. *cough* >.>;;) But you shouldn't judge something before giving it a chance.
Aomine believed in Kuroko more than anyone. Both are the same but one is insanely gifted while the other has achieved everything only through hard work.

Kuroko is like 50% buff to all of his teammates. While other 4 GoM are like 200-300%(Normal-Zone) of a player. If his temmates are stong enough, the buff that Kuroko provides will be so big. Well, only Akashi that is weird. He is like half Kuroko and half other GoM that can do support and make a play himself. And Kise's Perfect copy that can make him stonger than 400-500% of a normal player.

Because of the story, the colourful characters, the funny over the top moments? I admit, my friends introduced me to this by showing the attractive characters and I was interested, but as I watched, I was surprised to be more invested in it than I thought. And this is when I am a huge fan of Slam Dunk, another popular basketball anime. I say, just give it a watch and extend your imagination a little bit.

All I can say is kuroko tetsuya is the best player . He's an overseer of the game and protector of his teamates, because he's very observant, he can always come up with a solution. He also save his teamates at their weakest point or when the game is at very critical situation. That's why Akashi is very fond of him because kuroko completed the ideal team, he's like the missing piece of the puzzle, The generation of miracles cannot be a generation of miracles without the phantom sixth man.😊

So me and my dorm mate bought a new basket ball and we play at least street basketball XD
I love this scene because Kuroko staying cool and not letting basket matter and setting up the play before it went in to keep the balance of game equal. This is very hard for anyone who played competitive sports growing up. I played hockey and soccer as a goalkeeper and there were games where opposing team would score within the last five minutes and the team looks down and defeated. It took me a long time to have a level head and get my team fighting till the end. Same goes for being ahead and the arrogance of we are better. This clip is amazing also Days anime has many of these clips too.
I've seen a move similar to that in actual games albeit they're more of a arc through the air than laser beam plus they only use it in the closing seconds for a final point.
So at first he was just good at passing but as the series progresses he became not just good at passing but also at shooting, he is a endless reservoir for development in his abilities

Kuroku has to be the most dangerous out of the generation of miracles I mean Akashi didn’t know he was around the first time they met even now he has to constantly keep an eye on him if not he is gone I can just imagine kuroko in the zone
Kuroko would've have been so much cooler if he was a first-stringer in Teikou BEFORE the misdirection came into existence. like, if he was a founding member or something, but an accident forced him to change his playing style. Basically meaning that he was at the same level as the rest of them in Teikou. Then he would slowly 'regain his former strength' or something like that during the rest of the series.. Meh, maybe it's just me.
Would be nice but I think it's kinda hard to write a story for that as interesting as the current one, also I think the way Kuroko is part of the GOM as the sixth man, considered the weakest and a member in "rumor" only, plus his team is the first team each of the GOM teams have lost to, makes this anime one of a kind.
It just feels he slowly became a secondary character compared to Kagami. Like the writer took the whole 'shadow' part just a tad too seriously. Not saying it's a bad series by any means, despite the fact i'm really not a fan of the sport... But then again, same could have been said for many other Shounen sport series i ended up liking, if not the sport itself.
I prefer it the original way. Made 'genius' vs born genius or whatever. That's what made Kuroko one of the only ones less "damaged" from Teiko basketball compared to Aomine & Akashi. It also makes Kuroko more relatable & likeable to the average reader. You hone a skill and become great which is what most people do. Don't have to be born into it. Also i think Kagami was meant to be a main character together with Kuroko.
Then Kuroko would have had to have been a completely different character and it would have been a generic: this awesome guy versus that awesome guy play. Now it was teamwork vs individual talent with only the finale being two teams in sync fighting each other. Not to mention that Kuroko no longer being the shadow does come up as a plotpoint.
In hindsight Seiren was excessively lucky this game. Cyclone pass made Midorima paranoid about his high arc shots ,Kagamis jump is pretty much tailor made to block his jump shots, the coach's insistence on focusing on Midorima made the pass route easy for Kuroko to steal, and hawk eye the anti-misdirection failed when it was needed most. Had they played any other miracle this would've been a clean loss

Kuroku has to be the most dangerous out of the generation of miracles I mean Akashi didn’t know he was around the first time they met even now he has to constantly keep an eye on him if not he is gone I can just imagine kuroko in the zone

Kuroko would've have been so much cooler if he was a first-stringer in Teikou BEFORE the misdirection came into existence. like, if he was a founding member or something, but an accident forced him to change his playing style.
Basically meaning that he was at the same level as the rest of them in Teikou. Then he would slowly 'regain his former strength' or something like that during the rest of the series.. Meh, maybe it's just me.
Would be nice but I think it's kinda hard to write a story for that as interesting as the current one, also I think the way Kuroko is part of the GOM as the sixth man, considered the weakest and a member in "rumor" only, plus his team is the first team each of the GOM teams have lost to, makes this anime one of a kind.
It just feels he slowly became a secondary character compared to Kagami. Like the writer took the whole 'shadow' part just a tad too seriously.
Not saying it's a bad series by any means, despite the fact i'm really not a fan of the sport... But then again, same could have been said for many other Shounen sport series i ended up liking, if not the sport itself.
the writer was going to make kuroko and akashi brothers even if y notice they look same and also blue and red . he should have keep this
I prefer it the original way. Made 'genius' vs born genius or whatever. That's what made Kuroko one of the only ones less "damaged" from Teiko basketball compared to Aomine & Akashi. It also makes Kuroko more relatable & likeable to the average reader. You hone a skill and become great which is what most people do. Don't have to be born into it. Also i think Kagami was meant to be a main character together with Kuroko.
Then Kuroko would have had to have been a completely different character and it would have been a generic: this awesome guy versus that awesome guy play. Now it was teamwork vs individual talent with only the finale being two teams in sync fighting each other. Not to mention that Kuroko no longer being the shadow does come up as a plotpoint.
Ever sense I started watching this anime i have loved every aspect of the sport basketball itself, playing, watching pro games, EVERYTHING! :D

In hindsight Seiren was excessively lucky this game. Cyclone pass made Midorima paranoid about his high arc shots ,Kagamis jump is pretty much tailor made to block his jump shots, the coach's insistence on focusing on Midorima made the pass route easy for Kuroko to steal, and hawk eye the anti-misdirection failed when it was needed most. Had they played any other miracle this would've been a clean loss
