Ari's acting and facial expressions for about 15 seconds starting at 0:33 are perfect. He is completely surprised when Vince isn't as excited about any job as he is about their history and relationship. Piven crushed this role.
I don’t think it’s that he realizes he’s one of the boys, I think he realizes that Vince looks at him as more than just his agent. And although Ari clearly has always loved Vince, he probably never thought it was reciprocated. Taking that job would have benefited Vince, but it would have done far more for Ari. When Vince tells him this, I think Ari is battling with the fact that taking this incredible job would mean sacrificing his relationship with someone he wants to keep in his life, and he’s just now finding out how much that person feels the same way.
that part is memorable, I was equally impressed by Vince's facial expressions. Adrian Grenier was awesome in that, and from what I've heard a great person too

I have to say after watching the series as a whole a few times over I'd have to agree.... seasons 1 probably upto 4-5 were just so so so good, after that you can see there's alot more money and actors and plots that come into it ... which for me it doesn't feel as natural if that makes sense.
Man the build up to this scene was so good I remember tearing up watching this on cable. Good times Entourage is such a masterpiece. REBOOT THIS THING PLEASE.

purely in terms of scenes taking place at airports/on private planes - this might be the best show of all time. I can't think of any other show that does airport scenes better. This one, Sloane and E riding off into the sunset at the end of the seasons 6 and 8, the trip to Cannes with kanye, the aquamoms arriving, the trip to NYC to film queens blvd and the trip back at the start of the 2nd season. I'm probably missing one or two - but they are all epic and give me big serotonin trips.

It probably didn't come to my mind initially, because all of the other scenes I referenced are about flying privately - on jets and whatnot. Which makes them even more epic. Ari is Vince’s agent but worked his whole life to be the best agent in Hollywood and get the opportunity to be a studio head but he’s hesitant to take it because Vince is his first ever client that he found from absolutely nothing (diamond in the rough type of story) all his other clients have been somewhat established already) Vince a sub par actor (has made multiple bad decisions against what Ari has told not to do) pretty much sabotaged his own career doesn’t want Ari to take it cause then he’ll have to find a new agent who won’t be nearly as good as Ari and wouldn’t put up with his shit. The short guy who Vince told the secret to is Eric his best friend and manager and the catalyst for Vince’s bad decision making because he has more balls than brains and doesn’t know shit about Hollywood
It’s quite literally the only TV show I’ve been able to watch front to back, and can put on a random episode once in a while to rewatch. It’s funny, dramatic, great dialogue, etc. unmatched TV show
in terms of what should NOT have been said..and what SHOULD have been said....Vinnie should just have said.....something along the lines of. "noone could do that job better than you Ari"...cause frankly...saying anything else is selfish of Vinnie...shame
