- Indian cricket board (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah has been elected unopposed as the new chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday, August 27. Jay Shah became the youngest man to head the global cricket governing body after he filed his nomination for the top job on the deadline day. He will replace Greg Barclay, who did not seek a third term after having secured the top job in 2020. Jay Shah will take over as the new ICC chair from December 1, 2024.
