I have never heard anybody attempt to sing this song at a karaoke. They wouldn’t dare. It would be suicide. No band can cover this song or any of their songs. They are magical, no other artist blends into the atmosphere quite like them, Thank you Cocteau Twins for all of your delicious music. Early 1985, I was 11 years old, and my dad had a wrecking lot, and as kids, any car that he bought we would explore the glove compartment, trunk, under the seats, etc hoping to find some coins, a baseball, or whatever. Then one day, i found a cassette, no case, it said TREASURE, Cocteau Twins. I was in awe for weeks, falling asleep listening to it, had my best friend listen to it. We were already into Depeche Mode , The Cure and Smiths, but this tape, this was something else. Of all my treasure hunts, that was a true treasure

First heard this whilst tripping on mushrooms in the meadows in my first year summer holidays... my friend had it eninating from mini speakers in the grass... I thought it was the weirdest, most beautiful heavenly sound I’d ever heard... I was trapped in a loop of beauty, where angelic Aladin like creatures were pouring liquid ecstasy from the clouds into my mouth in time with this music, which I could see in wave lengths rippling through the sun drenched grass.
This is a gem amongst all the treasure on 'Treasure' - what a fantastic album, nothing has ever come close to capturing the mood that this recording does - so watery, dark, refreshing, mysterious, melodic, crushing, releasing, harmonic, driving and resting - a beautiful soundscape.

By its own definition the abstract & the sub-conscious are not meant to be defined or understood. The brilliant and pioneering Cocteau Twins tap into this, requiring the listener to both let go(of expectations) & to hang on(to the unknown) ....
Enya taps into that, the group Arcadia does, Florence and the Machine and Loreena Mckennit sometimes do. The women in this song just sing a lot of gibberish to quasi-pretty sounds.
@Jenny You're right, all those artists do the same thing to degrees. No need to bring this artist down.... Better to add to the conversation positively! On another note, here I go to look into Arcadia since I'm already in love with the other three.

+Shannmeister, Yeah,in a genre all their own.I truly know of nothing else like them
It does not matter if they are not so famous, Elizabeth Fraser is like the soft breeze of the field or the sweet song of the birds, there they are always, but not all are able to enjoy it.
I seen interviews with liz, and she uses words from all different kinds of languages. all put together they make for beautiful melody.
It's like an out-of-body-experience. Bliss.
Great touching of love to ours souls, no gold, no god, no promises, pure love/live. Thanks Elizabeth !!!
Amo tanto esta canción ♥
Amortentia Lain es bella, y inspiradora
Balada de SP anos. 80 curti.muito.retro etc.
Primera vez que la escucho, es buenísima
Heaven to Earth, as simply as it Is. Heavenly voices @ Earth to heal your soul. A Sonic Bijou...and diamonds are FOREVER!
I make all my artwork while listening to their entire catalog
I heard it first in late 80s, and till today it is the most romantic piece of musical art for me, thank you CT !
I LOVE C.T. Todas suas canções são Maravilhosas. Lindo vocal.
This track still gives me goosebumps....pure class....
By its own definition the abstract & the sub-conscious are not meant to be defined or understood. The brilliant and pioneering Cocteau Twins tap into this, requiring the listener to both let go(of expectations) & to hang on(to the unknown) ....
MrDLOC11 beautifuly written
They are their own genre, for sure. Amazingly brilliant and beautiful!!
Enya taps into that, the group Arcadia does, Florence and the Machine and Loreena Mckennit sometimes do. The women in this song just sing a lot of gibberish to quasi-pretty sounds.
SPENCER NEFF DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE PLOT OF ANNIHILATION. HIS OPINION LACKS SUPPORT AND THEREFORE IS NULL. TRASH MAN.
@Jenny You're right, all those artists do the same thing to degrees. No need to bring this artist down.... Better to add to the conversation positively!
On another note, here I go to look into Arcadia since I'm already in love with the other three.
The Cocteu Twins......... Quite simply, If you are lucky enough to have experienced their music then you are truly , truly blessed.
Still the only band in this world who can make such beautiful heavenly music!
Un morceau magnifique qu’on oublie jamais tant il est parfait 🖤
Reminds me of a "otherworldly slow dance between spirits!"...
am i in heaven?
I've been asking myself that for 30 years, since I heard Treasure for the first time...
or Las Vegas?
Or las vegas?
yes, you are
I am defo with you. As well as millions of others who realise talent when they open their ears. Xxxxx
If you die and go to heaven, Cocteau Twins will be the music you hear
This is real dream. I'm listening it right now for the first time. This is very good music.
Yes, I can listen to Elizabeth Fraser all night long. Afternoons with Bowie, and nights Don van Vliet .
Ethereal, magical, beautiful music which I was lucky to grow up with and in these times is just perfect..
Been a while since I've listened to Treasure...incredible,just like I remember ❤
