Apart from AV orifice being wider is there any other reason as to why Right AV valve is tricuspid while Left Av valve is bicuspid? Does high pressure in left ventricle have any direct reason? (i understand that indirectly it does by the way of high pressure in left ventricle means it has thicker musculature thus smaller lumen)
Hi. Thanks for the comment. Excellent point! The indirect correlation with the pressure differences in the ventricles and presence of bicuspid/tricuspid value appears to be significant. However, I am not aware of any other reasons beyond what was discussed in the video.
