      The memorial was our favorite. They really did a great job with it. Bella is pitiful when it comes to the heat. One of the reasons we only go to Florida in the winter. God bless and have a great week.

    I’m still in shock at how Hurricane Katrina wiped out all of the pre-civil war plantation homes that used to line the beach in Gulfport/Biloxi on Hwy 90 back then. I was still in the trucking business at the time, only visited there a couple of times after the storm, but, haven’t been back there since. I have relatives that live on the Atlantic coast and of course I shutter and am terribly scared for their [and the whole state for that matter] safety when Florida has to deal with ANY hurricane. As an eight year Air Force veteran it goes without saying how passionate I am with anything dealing with the military…thank you for showing the memorial….it was touching for me. ~Jim~

      We drove through Biloxi after Katrina came through and I was just amazed at the damage. It was so sad. Living on the coast cam be very dangerous. It's beautiful, but you have to be careful. Thank you for your service. We live in a military town, so we respect and honor the military. Thanks for joining us Jim . Have a blessed day.

    The beaches there are beautiful, and everything looks so pristine since it's all so new. You found some great silver dollar, star fish and shells on your beach walk. Too bad so much history was lost during Katrina. Poor Bella. That chair is really cool. Love the Veteran's Memorial they put into place after the hurricane. Be safe, Bill and DeAnna

    Well it's a pretty area as it should be with everything being new. I don't know, we have been to Florida a couple times now and even though it's a hotspot I struggle with the humidity. And as I sit in our normal winter location sure, it's cooler a lot of the time but it's fine for us. AND the increased storm activities in Florida the last few years and they evacuate a whole and state in some cases, to much for my little mind to wrap itself around. I sure see a lot more RV lots in Florida for sales this year than I have in the past I feel, hmm, I wonder what that means.

    • @RVAmerica
      @RVAmerica  Рік тому

      We are really not a fan of the humidity. Once it starts getting warmer, we head back to Tennessee. The good thing about being here in the winter is they have none of the storms. I haven't payed attention to the RVs being for sale. Since we aren't looking now. Thanks for joining us. Many safe travels!

    Ok working my way back to try and reach my normal self. I know i am not everyone's norm but for me my norm is Special. You know short bus special. Yep looks like my home state after a big blow. I've seen this way to many times. Remember Hugo. There use to be a Taco Place around there the owner was a guy I called Chico That wasn't his real name but I would call him when I got out of the car and he always had my Taco's ready by the time I got up to him he was a nice guy but man could he drink. I went to his house a few times and had a blast each time so if you go for Taco's ask the guy if he is or knows Chico and tell him that Big ugly Den say's hi. He use to call me Taco Mierda because i always ate Taco's Oh don't look up that word it's not nice but it was ok when he called me it my friends get away with things like that. I could sure go for some of his Taco's right now. . 40 Rounds to my brothers in arm's. Nice of them to put that up for us. Ok ready for the next one lets get r done. Take care stay safe.
