Grief is the price we pay for love a d I guess its also a show of love too I like that last part grief is just love with no place to go sounds beautiful but hopefully our love for Sherpa some of it goes up to Heaven to him and the rest keeps us going on down here

I have been spending time everyday since Sherpa left us watching old videos. Its hard to believe that since I started watching dog channels that I could develop such a solid relationship with people and dogs thousands of mile away. Recently Phil, now Sherpa, it actually hurts. Every dog owners knows this pain. And perhaps that is what brings so many of us together. All I know for certain is that I truly miss Sherpa, and hope Jamie is getting on with life.
He's never too old to chase his tail and play-fight with his Hooman!

Darn straight he isn't too old to do anything-with his trusty hoominion at his side.
Plenty of life in him still, he is living life and he has his own servant what more could a dog ask for.

Oh, I dont know, I'm sure he remembers it, too, wherever he is now, waiting for you to show up one day . That was such a lovely time, with the delicious bar-b-que and Sherpa getting plenty of it (I love how he kept licking his chops while he waited !) There's nothing better than sleeping under the stars, with the best friend you'll ever have lying right by your side and watching the day awaken as the Sun comes up on the horizon. I loved this video; I'd never seen it in all the years I've been following Sherpa's life. Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful time with me . God bless .
Sausages for Sherpa! Long naps, sausages, cupbord full of treats....now thats semi- retirement after all those years wandering the countryside! Now he enjoys patroling the garden! Jamies a great doggie dad!💕

This is such a wonderful video. To see Sherpa barking and rolling around was beautiful. I miss BATDOG and now I am crying too much I can't see much. I do recall a video that was when Jamie was pulling out from Sherpa's bed and blankets all the chicken balls that sweet Sherpie hoarded. That was really funny. I just wish I could laugh 😢😢😢. ❤❤ We love you very much Jamie ❤️ 💜

The food looks wonderful. I rarely get bread like that. Marshmallows roasted is good. But a luxury dessert cake/pie with the coffee would be ... a luxury.
Ancient peoples did not have luxury desserts with coffee. 🌌
Perhaps on the next outing. And Sherpa would be there, in company. Wouldn't it be great if the helicopter/UFO delivered coffee in the morning. You can continue to enjoy the sun rising (or the earth rotating). Sherpa was still yawning a lot, probably because you don't wake this early on a usual day.
The smell must set you back to the old days, when you campered more out 😊❤

I was sleeping outside in a mountain meadow. I woke up near dawn surrounded by 4 or 5 deer grazing around me; looking up from my sleeping bag they seemed larger than life. That was 50 years ago and I’ll never forget it.
