this is a side series from the Dream SMP called Tales from the SMP. at first it is confusing, but when you watch more streams, you notice a pattern: Karl interacting with characters we have never met. from The Maze (i think it's that one?) stream we get Karl go in The Inbetween
but to put it more simply
Karl is a time traveller, and these streams are him time travelling. the more he does, the more his memory is affected, which can only be seen in some Las Nevadas streams, where Karl doesn't fully remember Quackity
i think Karl was working for DreamXD or sm?
