The importance of play

This film features national play experts Sue Palmer and Tim Gill; and chief executive of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Technically the word 'play' here means 'work' as used by Maria Montessori. The intentions and objectives align very close to Montessori work. I did not get an idea of how to organise specific play for developing specific skills or knowledge. for example play for developing social relations or learning language etc. Appreciate if someone can guide ..
