I think we’ll find more athletes than we thought have these sorts of struggles, the escape sport provides and the want to be in a better place are key motivators for some of the most talented athletes in the world.
Exactly. Everyone still shits on Ryan Garcia too but somehow admire Danny. We wonder why Ryan struggles with depression, everyone hates him that much more.
That’s called life everyone will grow old and have to deal with loss of intimacy no one escapes life without pain and suffering. No one.
This two fighters acted like true champs after the fight was done always nice to see that.

I run a boxing program for the youth in NY. With legends like Lamon Brewster, James Tony, Aaron Superman Davis, Iran the Blade Barkley and more. Don't need to watch anything, I've always been involved.

Not staying at that weight class, to many killers, he fought a guy that isn’t 💯 when it comes to walking, Jose isn’t the guy to beat, in my opinion Jose will never win a fight because of his leg movements.

That was a career defining performance by Danny Garcia. And, Jose Benavidez has nothing to be ashamed of, he fought to win in every second of that fight, and fans will love him for that. Terrific fight, and a great example of the sweet science -- made all the more sweeter by seeing this amazing sportsmanship and camaraderie after the fight.
Def not career defining it was light work on his end he’s faced bigger odds and more dangerous opponents but good take

Did you expect him to give Benevitez a chance to catch him with something stupid? When you're fighting a 1 legged fighter you're going to want to stick and move a little.

I've been vvery critical of Danny Garcia over the years for reasons that I still stand behind. However, last night was the best I think I've ever seen of him. His movement (footwork), punch selection & activity was a dramatically improved performance. He initiated & closed exchanges vs sitting around waiting to counter. His sustained body work was a nice addition as well. Solid win for Danny.
I agree. He looked really good last night. Jose seemed to be having issues with that leg in the later rounds though. Danny fought a smart fight nevertheless.

Yeah I'm not sure to what extent Jose's leg was a factor, but I do believe that he could've made the fight very easy for himself if he stuck with his Jab which is very sharp & was landing when he threw it, & his sneaky uppercut that found a home on Danny's chin almost at will.
He seemed too content with proving to Danny that his punches weren't hurting him than he was focused on winning the fight. If he were more disciplined & checked his ego, the outcome may have been very different.
@@FatherofFFD I would agree. He was trying to appear to be a tough guy as opposed to staying focused and making adjustments. I noticed how shaky he looked on that leg in the later rounds. To Danny's credit he was focusing on that body the whole fight so it paid dividends.
I feel like Danny has learned from his past fights. He never ducked anyone and fought the best. He’s always a tough customer.
Danny been a fuckin animal, y’all just been sleep.. Only thing he hasn’t shown in his game was mobility and that is a key ingredient to being a great boxer but I know he got it in him. He just likes to counter punch so gets caught up in playin the waiting game sittin and ending up not throwin enough at times but he has it all, he just hasn’t perfected it all!
Big respect to Danny, always puts on a good show. Hope he can manage to work through all this❤️❤️

I've been DG fan for years..mi gente..but its gonna be tough at that weight class. Lots of monsters there. I think he will transition to a technical boxer and we won't see many knockouts. I mean he was clocking JB a few times and he didn't even buckle. But DG definitely out boxed him..that triple jab was nasty

What fight did you watch?
You do have a point. Jose was blocking a lot shots, however Danny was scoring a bunch of points by jabbing to stomach.
I felt like Jose needed to fight inside, lean on Danny, and bully him in a sense. Instead, Jose stayed on this outside and Danny was either countering or jabbing to stomach. Danny fought smart. Kept his distance. Jose's high guard left his stomach exposed.
Although, Jose was motioning those jabs weren't bothering him, it didn't matter, those were scoring punches.
Jose can't move on outside. I wonder if it's because of his leg injuries from being shot. I never saw Jose fight prior to being shot, so I have no idea if he had any movement prior.
