For Dream SMP you should react to sad-ists animatics, they’re the most popular in the community and each are less than 5 mins. The watch order is “War”, “The Fall”, “Dawn of 16th”, “Hog Hunt”, and “Final Waltz”, they’re like trailers for the story and you’ll be able to hear voice lines from the characters in the animations. Also make sure to turn on subtitles while you watch them to know who’s speaking. It’s basically a tradition for reactors to watch these animatics if they’re getting into Dream SMP.
context to heatwaves: a fan wrote a dnf fanfiction called heatwaves that was inspired by the song (in like 2020/early 2021) and it quickly became the most known fanfiction in the fandom dnf and their friends know about it (some of them even read parts of it) and ever since then heatwaves has obviously been connected to dnf and them and their friends love to make references and stuff glass animals (the band) literally thanked the fandom for helping them make the song bigger (obviously the song is a banger and would've gotten popular either way but the dsmp fandom definitely helped stream it a lot at the beginning of 2021)

aw, so many of these are much older clips, such a sweet throw back as for what you should react to, i recommend the dream smp lore recap videos (as mentioned by evan mcgaming he does them extremely well, almost like watching a movie) reason being so you can get the references in the animatics :)) also the socks thing is a reference to a meme that goes "its not gay to kiss your homies if the socks stay on" haha • for the $5,000 dream gave his friends money on christmas (2020) sapnap got $500, and badboyhalo (another friend and content creator) also received $500 • definitely do recommend reacting to the manhunts! i think they're extremely captivating and dream is an extremely talented minecraft player, the "3 Hunters Finale Rematch" is a good starting point imo as its the video right before his most viewed video, has cool plays, and it sets a good understanding of how manhunt works take care and tons of love :)!
Woooooo!! You’re back! I can’t believe it’s been a month since the last dnf vid, but no matter. Watching them flirt with each other always brightens my day. Personally, I would love for you to watch dream’s manhunts. They are throughly entertaining, even to people who don’t really play Minecraft. I saw some other comments recommending the sadist animations, which would also be cool to see. The sadist animations are what got many of the dsmp fans hooked on the server’s lore, me included. The animations relevant to the lore, in order, are War, The Fall, Dawn of the 16th, Hog Hunt, and Final Waltz. These videos basically act as trailers for the different dsmp arcs, starting with the beginning of L’manberg, to the conclusion of the Disk Saga. They’re all pretty short so, if you decide to react to them, I would recommend watching them in a singular video, instead of 5 separate ones.

here to answer your questions again ^-^ -the dude with the red subtiles is badboyhalo, hes been dreams friend for years and dream was staff on his minecraft server at least a few years ago :) -the dream giving george money is from a video from a while ago when he let george, sapnap and bad spend money buying stuff from amazon as thanks for all their help making videos for his channel, highly recommend reacting to that video its very whole some and funny ! ^-^ -the countdown is from a speedrunner vs video where they had a few minutes of grace period, followed by a few minutes of where they could kill each other, followed my another few minutes of grace period, and so on, that's what the countdown shows, also an excellent video to react to ! -in case u didn't know, heatwaves is a dnf fanfic based on the glass animal song that got REALLY popular, its got a sequel now called helium, named after another glass animals song :) as for what to react to, the animatics definitely hit harder if you already know the lore, so id save them for later ! and ill be happy to answer any lore questions !!!! ^-^

If you want to UNDERSTAND the lore then don't watch Sad-ist first. Sad-ist makes trailer esc videos of out of context moments of the SMP. EvanMC Gaming goes through the story beat for beat and experiencing the sad-ist videos after you know the context makes them 10x more impactful and epic.
@@Emma_14 i don't think he wants to understand the whole storyline, I just think for his content sad-ist animatics would be best as there are the most iconic moments and generally known and they are portrait in a way that's easy to understand and very very cool! If he wants to get deep into the lore and know all about it then so be it I'd still gladly watch even the other option. But i think sad-ist is the best way to introduce people who are new to the lore, because it's entertaining and not complicated and it makes you wanna know more. So as a first step I'll keep on advising the animatics cause in my opinion it's the best approach ! :]

I started with SAD-ist's animatics, they are great as trailers, but it can be difficult to understand the whole plot from them. So now when I know more lore I'm reviewing animations and seeing them in a new way

definitely check out dreams manhunts. They are what got me into watching all the minecrafters. But if you do....don't start at the beginning. I would reccomend starting with maybe his most popular one first and then if you want to go in order from there that would be fine. Basically 3 hunters and up is where the videos get really good. The first manhunts with 1 hunter or 2 hunters were good videos and sometimes funny videos but they're way more laid back and you can tell the skill level of all of them was way lower because they were all used to 1.8 combat.

If you're gonna start reacting to the dream smp, you should totally start watching EvanMcGaming and then watch SAD-ist's Animatics. As for the 5 thousand that George got from dream, Dream gave him, Sapnap and their other friend Bad, money for helping him with his channel and because he gained 500,000 subs in two weeks (But Dream gave the most money to George) That specific video is called "Giving George $5,000 to spend on Amazon"

Personally I think you should watch the EvanMcGaming lore series before the Sadist animations or else you won’t really understand what’s going on in the animatics, although they are long it’s so worth it they are really good and explain everything! :) And yes definitely react to more dnf lol but you should definitely react to more recent content since these are really old, but both are really good!:D And for the manhunts you should 100% react to them, they are so good, personally the more recent ones are the best, I definitely recommend:D

EvanMCGaming has the entire history of the various Arc in dream SMP, from how it started to the last ... it treats the entire Lore with reconstructions of the entire server in every aspect. SAD-ist Animation looks more like a trailler of various pieces of the various arc ... I, I recommend EvanMCGaming first, to familiarize yourself with the Lore of the various Arc, so as to understand the animations and where every single animation in the videos comes from. But i think sad-ist is the best way to introduce people who are new to the lore, because it's entertaining and not complicated and it makes you wanna know more. So as a first step I'll keep on advising the animatics cause in my opinion it's the best approach ! :]

I started with SAD-ist's animatics, they are great as trailers, but it can be difficult to understand the whole plot from them. So now when I know more lore I'm reviewing animations and seeing them in a new way

4:44 when you’ve got socks on everything you do is straight. so when george was like “should i take my socks off” it was basically a way of making it gay. idk if i’m making sense it’s kind of hard to explain, but basically it’s just a gay joke
definitely check out dreams manhunts. They are what got me into watching all the minecrafters. But if you do....don't start at the beginning. I would reccomend starting with maybe his most popular one first and then if you want to go in order from there that would be fine. Basically 3 hunters and up is where the videos get really good. The first manhunts with 1 hunter or 2 hunters were good videos and sometimes funny videos but they're way more laid back and you can tell the skill level of all of them was way lower because they were all used to 1.8 combat.

As for the 5 thousand that George got from dream, Dream gave him, Sapnap and their other friend Bad, money for helping him with his channel and because he gained 500,000 subs in two weeks (But Dream gave the most money to George) That specific video is called "Giving George $5,000 to spend on Amazon"

Personally I think you should watch the EvanMcGaming lore series before the Sadist animations or else you won’t really understand what’s going on in the animatics, although they are long it’s so worth it they are really good and explain everything! :)
And yes definitely react to more dnf lol but you should definitely react to more recent content since these are really old, but both are really good!:D
And for the manhunts you should 100% react to them, they are so good, personally the more recent ones are the best, I definitely recommend:D

SAD-ist Animation looks more like a trailler of various pieces of the various arc ... I, I recommend EvanMCGaming first, to familiarize yourself with the Lore of the various Arc, so as to understand the animations and where every single animation in the videos comes from.
