I completely disagree with chris algeiri about teofimo. "If he hadnt had that performance against kambosos that night he would be a superstar right now" We cant say that because he had similar performances against sandor martin (knocked him down twice), and then he arguably lost against ortiz.

it’s been proven that he failed a drug test by 6 billionths of a gram after passing continuous drug test that were given to him all camp. That is nowhere near enough to give him any sort of effect from the ostarine.

Devin Haney is a prime example of trying to do something that he is not meant to do. They were trying to get a highlight and became one. Its not smart, but it was supposed to be an impressive showing. at this level you have to be able to switch to plan b or c if needed.

Devin Haney needs to get a real trainer like Floyd Mayweather Sr that was working with him before he made a name for himself, and Bill Haney wanted to take all the credit and lime light of his son’s career. Mayweather would’ve shown him how to adjust when things start going wrong, just like he guided his own son Floyd Jr.

Haney didn’t fall to the fans they always disliked him for whatever odd reason but him getting knocked down against Ryan made it easier for people to be open about it and put someone down at their lowest

Haney is one of them and he’s been not liked it was before the Loma fight and it’s only gotten worst over the last 2 years. If you rewatch the fight, you’ll see that Haney did hit Ryan with some big hooks. He did block a lot of Ryan hooks outside of the ones that knocked him down. And he did win some rounds. Call me crazy but I think he won six rounds. Outside of the rounds in which Ryan knocked him down down, Garcia didn’t do anything.

140Lb in the UK was always light-welterweight (Junior makes them sound like kids). Catterall was messed about by the piss head jock Taylor too much & should have had another chance by now. Hopefully Dalton Smith gets a better shake @ the stick!
Teo looks good against guys who come to him. He's a super athletic counter puncher, but when guys don't come to him, he doesn't close distance well. Doesn't have good front foot pressure. Doesn't cut off the ring well. He leaps in and this was an easy read for Sandor and Ortiz. (Claggett just had a crazy beard and gas tank.) Teo's fun, but he's hot and cold because his style only really shines against certain kinds of guys like Taylor and even Loma, both come forward pressure guys.
Teo is all hype man, I really don't understand why probox likes him so much. At the top level he looks basic. Loma was a close fight, Taylor was extremely over hyped, losses to Kambosos, and got out boxed by Ortiz. He's just not that guy.

Paula your take on Devon Haney is right on. Haney’s father has more fault in this loss than you guys are giving him credit for. Teo is the Rocky Marciano of our time. Getting him into som/any kind of structure, we can expect from him from becoming associated with Canelo can only help him.

Teofimo's major weakness is his footwork. He has explosive punching power, quick reflexes and every punch in the book. However, when he faces a mover who potshots him and occasionally stops and exchanges then moves again, he looks very ordinary. Sandor Martin made him look silly crossing his legs and falling off balance throwing leaping hooks that don't even come close to landing. Ortiz did the same thing to him. He really has no idea how to cut the ring off on boxers like that. That's why he's not close to being a P4P fighter in my book. He did great against Taylor but Taylor didn't move around the ring land actually stood and fought him. He may be the best 140 lb fighter today, but that doesn't say much for the division.
I disagree… I think Teo is unorthodox. I really haven’t seen him using a jab which makes things hard. Also I don’t believe his power has carried over.
