  • Here is my take on showing how to weave the Ladder Rack with Paracord. This is done with a jig, 550 Paracord, and Paracord Fids. Its not really hard to do just takes a little practice. Enjoy!

    Very good tutorial, JC. Putting this one in my Paracord Faves Playlist for future reference. I have one from Coop there, but I find it always helps to see multiple tutorials to learn different tips and tricks. Planning lots of vids myself. just need to get organized and find the time. Man, life gets busy, don't it? Thanks so much for sharing.

    great tutorial brother, I think I might actually try this, but I do have one question, how much paracord would I need to make a 7-1/4" (8-1/2" with your added 1-1/4")?

    Great video bro.. Been wondering when you were going to get back in the saddle with your paracord videos. ;o}

    Thanks! I measured the 3/4 whistle buckle and it is 2 inches end-to-end. Should I maybe adjust the jig for a 7 inch wrist to 9 inches? maybe? I guess I'll experiment with both settings..Thanks again..

    Great Stitch. I'm new to this. I have a 7 inch wrist and a large 3/4" whistle buckle. What measurement would you set your jig to make a nice fitting bracelet? Same question for the 1/2 inch buckle..

    Where do you get the hardware for the sling and how much paracord is needed per inch of the sling?

    13-1/2 to 14' depending how tight you have the weave etc..

    you just have to work on hiding it where it wont be seen you do this before weaving it and when you make your pass back over it it will end up covering it up!

    Where did you get the fast clamping device for your jig? Watched your video and it had a wing nut.

    Ladder Rack 7" wrist with 1/2" buckles I would set my jig at 8-1/4" and I would use 13' of paracord total length (that is if your using 1 color divide by 2 if your using 2 colors) As far as the 3/4 whistle buckle I would assume go 8" on the jig and I would use same length of cord to just play it safe (I've never used the larger whistle buckle)Let me know how it turns out for you! actually I messed up. I use 5/8" buckles so thats basing it off 5/8" buckles. The buckles are measured by the slot width (the slot the webbing goes in) but I would measure from center of the slot (the slot the "nylon webbing" would go through) to the other slot (not from end to end) on your 1/2" which would be close enough to my 5/8" and then on the 3/4 and see the difference and maybe might have to adjust the jig a little shorter like 8" instead of 8-1/4 using the 3/4 buckle cause its bigger

    I made a gun sling out of paracord using this weave. I did do a little modification to make the strap wider due to the fact that i didnt like how slim it was but anyway awesome tutorial, keep up the amazing work

    I just made a 43 inch sling last night, used 50 ft of od green and 50 ft of blaze orange joined at end by super gluing one end into another. I have about 10-12 feet of each left over, enough for a bracelet. Hope this helps.

    If I wanted to weave a 9" bracelet how much cord is needed? If using two colors can you split the length or does one need to be a little longer than the other?

    Thanks to you, I was able to make my paracord jig and it works great. For this ladder rack bracelet, how many feet of paracord would you use for a 7 inch wrist? Approximately 16 feet?

      The Trilobite and the Ladder Rack are often synonymous.
