Greetings from Hamilton Ontario. The beautiful escarpment divides our city into upper and lower with many trails and lookouts it's a sight to behold. My 1880's home has the dolomite foundation over the years the mortar used needs attention and has turned into a retirement project. The back porch was an add on and needed lots of work it was basically just built directly on the ground. While digging out a new foundation for it we discovered about 50 nice foundation stones, perhaps left there during original construction and buried. They are roughly 1 to 1.5 square feet and 4 to 6 inches thick. We plan to use them in our front landscaping. From my front door we can see the escarpment towering over the city.
The Wisconsin peninsula is an awesome place to visit. If you like lighthouses, there's a bunch for you to look at. If you like geological stuff, there's more than plenty of that. If you like tourist-y stuff, the Green Bay side is perfect for you. If you like nature, the lake Michigan side is what you're looking for.
I was looking for some illustrative video about the geology and history of the Niagara Escarpment, and so came across this video. It was very helpful, thank you.
I was there on a motorcycle trip last fall. Such a beautiful place especially with all the golden fall colors. I love Door county.
What an interesting and informative video! Thanks, Paul!
I was there last week. It’s beautiful

I don't think the lichen is a mirage though. :) I guessed that you meant collage.
