Good info, you can buy stickers with the info on, often see them In commercial vehicles. Also worth noting it's very difficult to change the classification of your van with the DVLA now, a local company who do professional conversions had quite a few refused.
Thank you for your reply. I'm based in Hertfordshire St Albans, 22nd J of M25. Looking forward to meeting you soon. Have a wonderful vdub weekend. Konrad.
Great video as ever. Wish my car always looked as clean as your van. Suggestions for future content: Campervan driving aids Campervan security Uses for Solar panels
Video, please, about taking passengers in the back of van on the rock n roll beds when logbook is panel van 3 seats. Shows the bnefits to reg van as motor caravan. Keep up the info vids. Cheers 👍👍👍👍
Great video as always next video could be about if your personal use commercial van insurance covers you if your using your van as a camper when its registered on your V5 as a window van / panel van?
Maybe an up and coming video could give information on campsite etiquette as there has now been an explosion of vans,, tents etc onto the outdoors scene!!!
20 inch wheels are good. Some people talk about harsh ride but if you have correct tyres they are ok. We did a video about tyres so if you watch that it might give you better idea what to do. 👍
dubventures cheers, will have a look. But to be honest, I think I will go for a change and or sell the ones I have. I will need a decent set of all round wheels/ tyres for up here in Scotland... the ones I have now are nice, but come the bad weather I need to know I can get out.
Thanks for the information. What about if you take out the removable seats in a dual purpose vehicle , does that then reduce the speed limit the same as a van ?
V5c will never state “dual purpose vehicle” as a body type, the dvla assign a body type of “MPV” if they agree that your vehicle is reclassified as a dual purpose vehicle. There a plenty of dual purpose vehicles that have a body type from new as van side windows.
Good video for those not in the know also their is a two lane carriageway that is not a dual carriageway .two lane carriageway is a different speed limit to a dual carriageway. The way to tell the difference is central reservation with barriers .if it has barriers then it's the higher limit .... all Mad but it law .
Hi guys. I really love your videos. It's very entertaining and helpful. I'm a massive Vdub person and also own t6 van. I've only subscribed to your videos recently but I hope we will meet up sometime in real life. Kind regards. Konrad
Thank you for subscribing to the channel we appreciate it! 🙌 We will be having more van meets so if you can go to one of them. Where are you based? We have van meets all over. We love doing them. 🙂👍
Good shout guys... but I’ve learnt the hard way. Been done at 60 when should of doing 50.. and 70 when I should of been doing 60.. another tip.. the police would probably not bother u but these camera vans that are agencies ain’t going to let u away with it.... them buggers are on a bonus 🙄🙄
good vid BUT ! I must point out that when towing, yes i'm going to make it even MORE COMPLICATED !, your speed limit will also depend on wether your trailer is braked or not ! do your homework folks !! sorry ! just had to get that in !
Another great video. Thanks for the info this should help some people as not everyone will know this
Thank you for your comment! 🙌

I know it’s a old video but well worth another watch 👍
Hi. Thank you for watching. We appreciate it. 🙌
Hi Tom think the best thing to look for on the V5 is if it's a N1 or M1 and then Google the difference.
Thank you for your information! 🙌
M1 / N1 never changes, body type is the key item to check on your v5
I have a self-bulid 3.5 tone grosse, Citroen Relay, registered as a 'van with windows'.
Very good to know thanks! Wish I could cruise at 70 mph in my T4 but 60 is where it's happiest haha all good and safe at least
Thank you for your comment! 🙌

We will have a look at the suggestions. Thank you for your comment! 🙌
Has there been a video made about this topic yet?
Looking forward to the announcement. wonder what it could be

Thank you for your idea we will have a see if can do that! 🙂👍
What wheels would you recommend for a T5? Mine came with low profiles but thinking of changing to Alloys so I can fit a good all round tyre...

Towing a trailer or caravan depends on if its brakes or unbraked aswell 50 unbraked max and 60 braked max
Thank you for the information! 🙌
Issues arise when police ANPR machines use the tax class (M1 or N1) to determine car or commercial speed limits.
Thank you for watching and your information! 🙌
No issue they are just going on what vehicle is registered as, if you've altered it ensure u inform dvla..👍
Thanks for the information.
What about if you take out the removable seats in a dual purpose vehicle , does that then reduce the speed limit the same as a van ?
If your V5 say dual purpose then no matter what you do wont change it unless Dvla officially change it. 🙂👍
dubventures thanks 👍

Thanks Tom you need too tell the works vans that the boys up my way 80mph plus every morning
With all the cameras they must be giving lots of speed tickets to them. Thank you for watching and your comment! 🙌
Hi, you said at 2.30 that you'd put a link on how to change the category of van on the V5, but it's not there.
Hi its on now at end if the video. Thank you for letting us know. We appreciate your comment! 🙌
@@dubventures No worries. Love your videos.
Thank you. We appreciate your comment! 🙌

Same lower limits for trucks only limited to 56mph on motorways and Dual carriageways
These limits were increased by 10mph in 2017 for HGVs on singles and dual carriageways
Thank you for your information! We appreciate it! 🙂
Hgv is 60 mph👍
Good shout guys... but I’ve learnt the hard way. Been done at 60 when should of doing 50.. and 70 when I should of been doing 60.. another tip.. the police would probably not bother u but these camera vans that are agencies ain’t going to let u away with it.... them buggers are on a bonus 🙄🙄

Good video. The information very helpful. Brian.

That's great!
Thank you for watching and your comment! 🙌
Your definition of a dual purpose vehicle failed to mention the need for a rear window, and a max unladen weight or 2040kg.
I did say in the video check all the information for yourselves so thank you for mentioning that one. 🙂👍
thanks for this just got ex bg caddy
Thank you for watching and your comment! 🙌
Hi. I would just add very quickly a notice that your info is only as far as you know at time of film
Very good point thank you. 🙂👍

Exactly why i said check for yourself. Thank you for your information. 🙂👍
