Wrong type of leash and collar. Mom can’t afford to fall. Is she this sensitive because her owner is pregnant or has this been going on all the time? Is the dog spayed?
Great questions 👍🏻. I do think that she’s very defensive of the mom and the babies. She might have been like that before the pregnancy but to a lesser extent, but now her protective instincts are heightened.
I'm curious, was Maeum not socialized when she was a puppy? I also can't tell how long they walk her. Labrador Retrievers are working dogs and need a lot of exercise. That's why it always makes me sad when I see active breeds cooped up in small spaces like apartments or condos unless their humans devote the time and energy to give them a proper amount of activity to get off some pent up energy and to make up for a small living environment. When active and smart dogs don't get enough mental and physical stimulation, they can get behavioral issues. The same goes with not properly socializing your dog with other dogs or animals. That's why I always tell people who are planning to get a dog that it's better to get one that suits your lifestyle and home rather than getting your dream dog and not having the time, space or energy to be able to raise and care for it properly.
