A former minister once told me that the holy Bible is like a ball of wax. He skillful or can shape it into anything he wants. Not that I agree with that but it's worth thinking about.

Satan’s preacher? Are you asking to be struck by the Lord?

Steven Anderson is wicked as hell but I'm 3 minutes into your video and Anderson is definitely right on the scourge passage... That word means to flog or strike and is used the same way elsewhere in the Bible. If you want to refute him (which is very easy) then please be honest yourself. Hebrews 12 is obviously not talking about God literally beating us but it's used as an analogy of discipline for God's children. Be more accurate please.

@RealTalkM_Speaks No I didn't... You seem to be very emotional driven rather then truth and logic driven. The Bible supports physical punishment for children very obviously in the old testament. That does not mean it supports beating your children into a bloody pulp nor does it mean you can physical assault your wife and everyone knows Anderson is evil for what he did. Hebrews 12 is taking the analogy of child punishment and applying it to us as God's children. It's just a way to say Gods punishments for his children are good to make sure we stay on track. The word there is mastigoo. Please tell me what mastigoo means and then show me the other cases it's used in the NT. I'll wait.
