Sometimes 2S is enough for these buggies. I feel like the sweet spot is where it puts a smile on your face without having to worry about messing up the internals after every run. I remember running 3S with a 2650kv on my 124019, and it just tore up the diffs, broke wheels, and snapped dogbone cups. Then I went back to 2S and was 'just having fun.' I feel like that's how they should be enjoyed best: a 'good enough' motor that does what it's supposed to without having any over-the-top goals in mind. Good for the wallet too, lol.
That motor is only 4000kv or something like that. For it to be fun on 2s you'll want a 5000-6500kv motor i've found. Or just run it on 3s to make it crazy 😅
I managed to get 1 full throttle pull on 3s and snapped a rear dogbone pin 😭 maybe it was a fluke but now I'm afraid to bash it on 3s as all of the parts that break are still on backorder lol.
Agreed! I'm loving it on 2s, it's plenty fast and doesn't overheat. But I don't get much air control, I'll have to try different wheels and tires. I'm running a 19t pinion currently.

I have to assume it'd get hot very fast on 3s, that setup doesn't leave much room for airflow or a fan.

I think these are perfect on 2s maybe gear it up to the max pinion gear it can fit

@@A2ZRC Just the nature of a buggy I guess. Look into the 6s Typhon its my favorite rc 💪
@@A2ZRC those dog bones are weak. I snapped those and sheared the end of the axle that the wheel screw goes into.
