My dad died 32yrs ago when I was 16 from a heart attack. It was hard for my mom, my sister and I, but as a Christian family we knew where he had gone and the Hope we have in Christ. My mom lived in South Africa, my sister in the Czech Republic and I in Scotland. My mom had been battling for the past few years with Lupus and I was certain that she had dementia. Living alone with lockdown, her dementia symptoms really escalated and just under a week before she died she was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia (which is a horrendous form of dementia). She had lovely church friends who cared for her. Three days after her diagnosis she was rushed to hospital and passed away two days later. It was very hard on my sister and I not being able to fly over to be with her because of COVID and we unfortunately couldn't attend her memorial service. One of our dearest friends, who was like a son to her, arranged her memorial service and we got to watch it live. We looked for photos of mom through the years, which my brother-in-law was going to put together on a video to send for the service. I had been listening to a Christian playlist quietly in the background when your song literally "burst forth". It wasn't any louder than the rest, but I stopped to listen. It certainly brought the tears to my eyes. I sent your song to my brother-in-law and said I believed this was the song God gave us for her "Celebration of her life" video. All who heard it were blessed and it certainly went with her life. Both my parents were godly folk and the legacy they left for us and our children, was the importance of prayer and a personal relationship with Christ. Well done says it all. God bless x
