Damn this brings back so many memories to me. I watched it for the first time way back 2011 and now it feels like it's transporting me to a time machine to my highschool days.
i know this comment will disappear in 5 mins so just want to tell you this: when i'm alone at home i like to bury myself up side down and pretend i'm a little carrot
Excelente !...por la sencillez del arreglo, el instrumento, la interpretación y la adaptación de otro tema (Over the Rainbow) para el "mashup". Talento musical que le dicen. Saludos desde Uruguay.
i hear another version on scene, its so cool, i love it, this version, and on stage, its the most famous for me, of this song, and god know how many version exist...but its the best
or simply go to one of the many pages on the web which allow you to put in the URL of a YT video and give you different options like downloading in different formats including MP3...
No se que pasa, creo que estara en brasil este mes... no se porq no ha venido a Venezuela deberia venir... Tremendo cantante! Aqui en valencia tiene miles de seguidores
everyone on this thread who is stating that his music is simple, his style, his writing skills ~ whatever, then you are not a fan and that is fine but you're 100% wrong…his song writing skills are top notch, his voice is pure and his musical skills are amazing…the musicians he has put together over the years are amazing as well…very talented guy..ck out his whole catalog, not just simple little covers like this and you will see
@HoorahMarineCorps That's one way of looking at it of course. His songs often are simply composed. It's up to you whether you like that or not. Personally, I do. It is like in all art, not just music: simplicity sometimes can be extremely powerful and stunning. I think Jason Mraz is a very great master of that form of art. And therefore, I should say, he does have a vast musical knowledge in his own way.
@mrazicle8 Yea i think u're right. when i listened to a Uke,i would be able to tell straight up,not with this. The sound is full as if it's a smaller guitar.Anyway, dude r u a big fan of jason? u must have covered some of his songs? i have recently covered details in the fabric with acoustic guitar,if u interested,i send u over for u to listen, wat say u? PS,may i know where u from?
@Tommydudez Hey man no worries, it's a common mistake because it has such a full, deeper sound. Although the uploader of this vid (as well as many others) believe this to be a cuatro, I would actually argue it to be a baritone or maybe tenor ukulele. More so baritone ukulele though. The reason why is because this is an Andy Powers ukulele and according to their website, they don't manufacture cuatros, only ukuleles.
Easy to get all your songs from youtube... Open sound recorder (windows users), and make sure your recording settings are for stereo mix (records only the sounds your computer makes, not your mic). Adjust the recording level to fit. You may want to test it a few times recording only a few seconds. Now record the song, and it saves as a wma probably. Open itunes and import it using a mp3 converter, now you have a mp3 to put on any mp3 player or cd.
@Tommydudez maybe since Mraz and Powers are friends, Mraz got Powers to make a special cuatro for him. however, I would imagine Mraz would want a baritone because they say the baritone uke is the guitar player's uke because it's basically tuned to the first four strings of the guitar. I don't know just a thought
@mrazicle8 Hey ure right,it;s cuatro. man,it looks 6 strings to me. the sound sounds fuller than a uku thou, doesnt sound like a 4-string guitar or any sort.anyway,i have no idea cos i am a 6 string acoustic guitar player.BTW,would the chords be similar or as the same as Ukulele's if one played cuatro?
Nothing against the video Its AMAZING as jason mraz is the best singer in mordern music period but it definately isnt a cuatro its a Ukelele as you can clearly see on the head rest it has 4 strings not 10 but as always jason mrazis just TOO GOOD
@hijodelucho what am i supposed to say? jason mraz is FANTASTIC! nd haters r gonna hate, but me or jason mraz or the other 2592 ppl who liked this video wont be suffering, u will bc ur not enjoying his music
@HoorahMarineCorps maybe he doesnt know the theory but he is one hell of a singer and hes not a bad song writer his songs are catchy and his lyrics have tons of meaning this guys a beast all around musician
He's absolutely the most talented human-being who has ever walked this planet. I'm so happy to live under the same sky as him and breathe the same toxic/nontoxic oxygen as he does. He's the TRUE definition of talent, peace, love, and harmony. Jason Mraz is purely amazing, and not even the Dictionary has enough words to describe has genuine and awesome he is.
But im still convinced its a ukelele could be wrong but ive watched videos live and he pulls out that guitar and ive seen him say its ukelele time so im not sure but hey who cares mraz is the bomb :D
@Tommydudez ummmm I'm not so sure about that. It's got 4 tuning pegs......which would mean 4 strings. My guess is that it's a cuatro or a baritione uke
Holy crap, so the dude sings a classic, interjects another (Somewhere Over the Rainbow), and then proceeds, making his own mark. Jason Mraz is truly gifted, and I thank him for sharing it with me.
No one:...
UA-cam’s recomendation: Here is Jason Mraz 11 years ago.
Me: Ok...
I love his voice and his music.. very different and unique...keep singing Jason :)
The simplicity of the song, the performance, and Jason's voice makes this one perfect version. Couldn't ask for more.
Bella Cruz I love your name
Agreed
Damn this brings back so many memories to me. I watched it for the first time way back 2011 and now it feels like it's transporting me to a time machine to my highschool days.
Same! Exactly to mi high school days
This is so amazing. My fave singer singing my fave song. this is pure awesomeness! ♥♥♥
Its like Im flying to the moon listening to this.
a perfect connection of chill out and classic fuckin perfect music ... Just Perfect ;)
Wow first sinatra cover by anyone that i really like!
Jason never dissapoints. Long time fan and he's beyond amazing. He's voice is outta this world!
I love this version, and bringing in a bit of " Somewhere over the rainbow " is simply brilliant...
I'm glad I didn't imagine that : )
i know this comment will disappear in 5 mins so just want to tell you this: when i'm alone at home i like to bury myself up side down and pretend i'm a little carrot
hey, i found your comment 6 years later
Simply great!
His version is so good! One of my favorite songs!
Lol, the "something like that" on the end is very jasonmraz typical :') Nice song.
1:14 that slight nuance during the instrumental of somewhere over the rainbow? wow.
JASON now on dwts 32 choose this song for final round
This is so pretty! His vocal range is so amazing. And I love how he always ends his songs with "something like that." Sooo sweet.
You know, Ole blue eyes, Deano and Sammy J are sitting at the bar right now looking down and saying that cat has style, I for one agree with them 😀
Excelente !...por la sencillez del arreglo, el instrumento, la interpretación y la adaptación de otro tema (Over the Rainbow) para el "mashup". Talento musical que le dicen. Saludos desde Uruguay.
@TheRealTingAling im pretty sure he just sung it in the video... I know he didnt create it, or make it famous, i just never knew he SANG it....duh?
i hear another version on scene, its so cool, i love it, this version, and on stage, its the most famous for me, of this song, and god know how many version exist...but its the best
the video is right "no description available"
Drunk drive me to the moon
crash into the stars
drink a bunch of booze
get pulled over on Mars
in other words
take my keys
in other words
holy geez
great music performance with unique style of interpretation
And that's how you cover Frank Sinatra.
Sept. 2, 2019 anyone?
TAB for ukulele ?????????????????????????????
"Fly me to the moon" is one of my favorite song : ) This virson is so sweet , if I have a soul mate, I wish he could play some stringed instrument : )
or simply go to one of the many pages on the web which allow you to put in the URL of a YT video and give you different options like downloading in different formats including MP3...
Fun fact: this song was originally a ballad called "In other words", but over time became a jazz standard known as "fly me to the moon"
i love how pure and natural his voice is...this is one of my favorite songs that he sings
oh and i love his hair :)
"something like that..."
Perfeito.
"something like that..." I love everything about this man.

He could be playing the bass part but I don't hear one so pretty sure this one is fake. Unless I am wrong. At least he did a good job singing.

hey guys, check out my version of i'm yours, song written by jason mraz...
thanks, see ya
Nothing against the video Its AMAZING as jason mraz is the best singer in mordern music period but it definately isnt a cuatro its a Ukelele as you can clearly see on the head rest it has 4 strings not 10 but as always jason mrazis just TOO GOOD
@litojonny it is somewhere over the rainbow. in jazz they throw other melodies in other songs all the time. it's cool man!'
@hijodelucho what am i supposed to say? jason mraz is FANTASTIC! nd haters r gonna hate, but me or jason mraz or the other 2592 ppl who liked this video wont be suffering, u will bc ur not enjoying his music

"that has ever walked the planet"
That's subjective. There are people that are better. But he is really really good still.
But im still convinced its a ukelele could be wrong but ive watched videos live and he pulls out that guitar and ive seen him say its ukelele time so im not sure but hey who cares mraz is the bomb :D
There is no way someone can't love this! It's such a sweet and simple song.
I love how he whispers, "Something like that," at the end.
This guy is going places
@Tommydudez ummmm I'm not so sure about that. It's got 4 tuning pegs......which would mean 4 strings. My guess is that it's a cuatro or a baritione uke
♡カッコいいな~♡
he is amazing!
Holy crap, so the dude sings a classic, interjects another (Somewhere Over the Rainbow), and then proceeds, making his own mark. Jason Mraz is truly gifted, and I thank him for sharing it with me.
thank you so much for posting. i've been enjoying this for months! Jason is very talented, so smooth, and I love his faces!! :)
Actually it is a uke. It's a custom made baritone ukulele made by Andy Powers in Cailifornia.
I love the way he works Over the Rainbow into the song at the break.
guys look at the headline...it's not a ukulele, it's a cuatro...it sounds different and the string octaves are different
SUBÍ ALGUNOS VIDEOS DEL RECITAL QUE DIÓ EN ARGENTINA, pasen y vean!
@ELWGuitar Of course, because then you'd be able to make more than the check itself lol.
It looks more like a baritone. And lots of previous comments have said baritone. So I'd go with that. Hope I helped.
yes, its a baritone ukulele. tuned DGBE. just like the first four courses of a guitar.
does not freaking understand why this only has 200 thousand views while justin bieber's baby has 260 million.....
They are similar instruments, only differing in tuning by an octave on two strings. But yes, that would be right.
You are right whosyer, but I think he is the best vocalist, song writer, guitarist, and entertainer in the world!
Well. I asked Santa for a Baritone Ukulele to figure out this song. It's all I plan now. Mission accomplished!
best cover ive ever seen 💜
@hike21 the first string is steel (if im not mistaken) that's why it stands out...but all 4 are there. =D
mrazing oohh that should be added to the urban legend dictionary.. JM fans work on it!!
okokilu, they dont need to give credit to the original artist everyone knows who the hell made this song.
I honestly would have thought this song would be named "In other words."
God I love you.
@beachboysXx It's a baritone ukulele, probably tuned to D G B E, not sure what make or model it is.
@achmedleadplayer It's actually a baritone ukelele, so it's tuned differently than a standard ukelele
NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO LIKE THIS VIDEO FROM NOW!!!!!!!!! IT HAS 1337 LIKES!!! LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!!
@IwouldRatherStayOut Yea Your actually right i put my hands up i failed at trying to be smart...lol
@jzack94 Although yes you're right.. a cuatro can have 10 strings, but that's a Puerto Rican cuatro
Super what kind of ukulélé tenor ? barytone ? thank you for your help
Does anyone have the chords/tabs for this masterpiece?? Pls share
CAN SOMEONE SHARE ITS CHORDS.???
I TERRIBLY LOVE IT.!!
I WANT TO LEARN HOW PLAY IT..!!!:((
:DD
great man nice.....good job.... i ve done smthing my self.....but it doesnt compare to yours
is it me or I can only see 1 string? .... how good would it be with all 4 strings then? Love it!
Any moment that Jason spends not singing is a moment wasted. He should just sing all day everyday.
@DaFreshDiddy its a ukulele....
UA-cam really needs to add a repeat button for this lol
Look for Frank Sinatra's Fly Me To The Moon
Jason just changed it from this very old jazz song.
YES! I want this song too! Please send me a msg if you can find the Jason cover for my ipod!!
"something like that" at the end...
aww he's so cutee.. he always says that :)
♫ In other words, I love you ♫
♥
@Tehashaa easy mama frankie will be turning in his grave after that!
Sinatra and Mraz in one song. I think I've found heaven..
What's instrument is that? is it an ukulele? if so, what type of ukulele is it?? thanks!
i want to know what is that guitar/ukelele combo instrument??
Que maravilha de ouvir!!!
Can’t believe more people don’t know about this.
get out of there "somewhere over the rainbow"! You're drunk. Its not even you're song!
is it jut me or does 1:15 sound like somewhere over the rainbow?
I got to have the chords! Does anyone know where I can find them?
@FJay93 I'm quite convinced it's a cuatro, since that's wat is said in the title.
its probably "something like that". he often says that
