if you are anywhere near upstate ny (glens falls) give a yell in the evenings around 9pm. 0n 26.9550 LSB ...that tower looks like fun. i wanna hear it!
The antenna has survived many windy storms over the years. The mast however, did not fair so well. About five months later a big storm came through while I was away and bent it to about an 85 degree angle. I added two more sections of tower shortened the mast she's been fantastic! I just point it into the wind an she rides it like a champ.
@@banedt I like to see how your tower is set up now. I see in the video the building support has the tower about 25' above that. The mast looks like 1 1/2" mast and maybe 10' above the tower. if you have added two sections then are you at 45' above the building support? I also didn't see guy wires, are you using guy wires. I'm getting ready to install a 6 element beam but not sure how others have learn from experience with large beams. thanks for any information you can share.
@@INtrailhunter I wish I new how to post pictures to your comment. I do not have any guy wires on it. It is 4 sections above my house, I did shorten the mast but I can't remember the exact length from rotor to boom. Maybe 8ft
All this to talk on CB radio. How ridiculous. I have A 3 foot antenna. I guarantee I get out better than them. Have fun taking that thing down when something gets loose.

It sure looks very flimsy,, I bet that a 20 mph wind will take it wright out,, but good luck anyway.
