I Wasn't aware that you could not use power bait. They sell it at the Hawaiian's Bait and Tackle & more. I've seen several videos where fisherman were using it in Hawaiian waters and so far I have not found any fishing regulations that specifically prohibit it. Do you happen to have any additional information on this. Thanks for your input

Here in Hawaiʻi you don't need a permit for salt water fishing. A fishing permit for fresh water fishing is $5.00 the last time I had purchased one.
