Out of all the presents during this Festa, this one hit my heart and soul the most! I am an old soul like V and I've been praying for his amazing voice on a jazz/swing sounding album since last Festa. The joy on his face in this performance made me burst. Heavenly performance indeed!
It just reminds me of my late mother as Cheek To Cheek was her favourite song and when we were little she'd sing it to us and dance around the kitchen. She loved the old Black and White Fred Astaire and Ginger Roger's film and Top Hat was her favourite. It's from about 1935 and the song was written and composed by the late great Irving Berlin for the Astaire and Roger for the Film Top Hat.

Tae uses a pretty broad definition of "jazz". It's really more the pop music of its day. Vintage pop. "V" pop! I love Taehyung with all my heart. He's been my bias since 2015, and he gave us a beautiful present. I esp love the duet. His voice and presentation are wonderful on that!

I am so giddy when Tae did scatting - he sounds like he's been singing jazz all his 10 years with BTS - come to think of it he may really be doing it just off the stage. I'd love a holiday jazz album from him. I need a lot of calming music - it will tide me over the impending 2024 - when almost all of them will be in the service.
His voice, those feelings poured into each word and note, the little dances, the scat singing, especially the scat singing, is just so artfully done with a touch of cheekiness that is so uniquely Tae, all of which that makes this more than just a jazz performance. He owns this!
I SO felt Blaze when he was asking himself why his eyes wanted to leak tears? I had the same reaction, kind of overwhelmed at seeing such an extraordinarily talented young man able to achieve his goals, and make music the way he loves so. His voice, his expressions, little dance moves all added up to a moment of perfection and pure joy. And massive kudos to the very talented singer sharing the stage, and band including docskim and John Eun who’ve been friends, writers and producers with the guys for some time

Tae was smoother than butter. "The Academy Award nominated song "Cheek TO Cheek" is from a 1935 movie "Top Hat". Irving Berlin specifically wrote this song for Fred Astaire to sing in the movie. Bing Crosby's official channel tweeted and shared a link to Tae's live clip. They also retweeted a tweet about Bing & Fred in regards to Tae's performance. Fred & Bing are from the same era and made some movies together.
Thanks for a great reaction. This was the best gift. You can tell that Tae really loves and takes Jazz seriously. He nailed not only the vocals but the whole atmosphere of Jazz from his clothing, the set, the live instruments. I love how Tae and Minna Soe's voices blend and I hope they do many more songs/performances together. She did the backing vocals for the version of It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas that Tae gave us for Christmas last year. I am so happy Tae is pursuing his love of Jazz and I'm sure he'll also pursue his love of R&B/Soul as well. I've been eager for his solo album and his performances like this make me even more so. 3:26 Same here, I think it's because you can see and hear so clearly that Tae truly loves and adores jazz. I always say "music and someone's voice is the mirror of the soul". When I hear Tae sing and see him enjoying it's like I see 100% of Tae's soul and who he is as a person. His voice is as warm as his personality and his heart. His smile is as enchanting as his beautiful vocals. Hearing him sing this just feels like he is giving me a very warm hug. It makes me feel as close to him as I possibly can be

I SO felt Blaze when he was asking himself why his eyes wanted to leak tears? I had the same reaction, kind of overwhelmed at seeing such an extraordinarily talented young man able to achieve his goals, and make music the way he loves so. His voice, his expressions, little dance moves all added up to a moment of perfection and pure joy. And massive kudos to the very talented singer sharing the stage, and band including docskim and John Eun who’ve been friends, writers and producers with the guys for some time
This gave that Christmas in July feel and got me dancing in heaven like Fred Astaire!💃😄

Tae was smoother than butter. "The Academy Award nominated song "Cheek TO Cheek" is from a 1935 movie "Top Hat". Irving Berlin specifically wrote this song for Fred Astaire to sing in the movie. Bing Crosby's official channel tweeted and shared a link to Tae's live clip. They also retweeted a tweet about Bing & Fred in regards to Tae's performance. Fred & Bing are from the same era and made some movies together.

Thanks for a great reaction. This was the best gift. You can tell that Tae really loves and takes Jazz seriously. He nailed not only the vocals but the whole atmosphere of Jazz from his clothing, the set, the live instruments. I love how Tae and Minna Soe's voices blend and I hope they do many more songs/performances together. She did the backing vocals for the version of It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas that Tae gave us for Christmas last year. I am so happy Tae is pursuing his love of Jazz and I'm sure he'll also pursue his love of R&B/Soul as well. I've been eager for his solo album and his performances like this make me even more so. I can't wait to see the various genres that Tae explores in his Chapter 2. Jazz is timeless and the type of music he can easily continue doing well into his advanced age. This killed me!!! I love jazz music! I sing and jazz is one of my favorite genres! I think the whole set up is elegant and sophisticated! This screams KIM TAEHYUNG!!!
