I was a doubter of the "stay on tier 3" strategy with all the fruitless rolling. I was wrong. 😅
Never realized Sylvanas hero power highlights the minions that died last match till you spammed over the hero power at 9:32
all the hero powers that buff predetermined minions do that as well
The naga/dragon with trigger battleccry spellcraft was removed from the came for now (Draconic Deathscale) sadly. So harder to pull this off as well as in the video
I did this several times the last week my biggest was a demon build and I ended with a 9400/10000 drakari 😂😂

This game and strategy is the perfect example of buddy meta: just donkey rolling like a maniac for a specific card or two to able crazy combo that you can force everytime you have a specific hero with specific lobby, otherwise you just lose to other braindead combos.
I did enjoy the meta, but then they brought buddies and ghoul in and it suddenly became unbearable
This feels very fixable by removing the Undead tag from Nathanos

Nathonos isn’t really doubling exponentially. Sure you get twice the stats of the original minion but split on to two minions, and if you’re only planning on eating one of those, you’re only ever gaining the stats of the original minion plus whatever buffs you can throw on to it each turn.
Interestingly, if you always eat on to two minions that you plan on eating later, then it actually scales by the golden ratio. And golden nathanos is obviously more than doubling
Quick math
isnt it more effective if you have 2 buddies to make the first one big and then remove that one? like this you always have 1 buddy on board and you use your buddies to generate the units you remove each time. else you need to spend money on new units.
i know like this you dont eat the unit with the most health, but mayb every second time or something

So after the patch when the dragon-elemental will no longer be available, this strategy won't work. Except maybe with Rylak? How would that work?
It works with the trigger battlecry spell. Just not as reliably. If you get the cards from triggering rylak during combat then it works too, perhaps better because you can golden parrot or have Titus.
Doubling in combat wouldn’t work for grave robber without multiple targets
Graverobber works with Rylak, Nathanos does not (at least not well). The Nathanos is destroyed in combat and you get copies added to your hand. Someone on reddit pulled it off like a week ago
They nerfed Ghoul-acbra, absolutely terrible now, just gives underwhelming stats for undead and beasts would rather go goldron now even more than before.
They might need to remove dragon/elemental for other balance reasons, but you can fix this by just making Nathanos not an undead.
Fun to watch for one game but this is ridiculously broken and too easy to pull off. Shady had to roll so much here for grave robber and still pulled it off no sweat.
I wonder if you still can do that with beast minion which triggers battlecry, since this dragon got removed 😅
The dragon battle cry trigger was removed today so the combo is dead. Very cool tho
