I went to a very compassionate church they were soo compassionate that they didn't say anything when small boys came to church wearing dresses and wanted to hang their rainbow flags and talk about abortion being a human right. Extremely compassionate.
We have to know, God loves everyone of us. He love the sinner but never the sin. If we don't giving up our sins, God's grace can't reach us. That's pretty simple. That's why the confession is so important if you are catholic. It leads us back to him, again. Saint Peter is the rock (the church) and God gave us the 10 comitments und the holy bible. Keep it up and God will leads you through your life.

Let the Word speak truth into people’s lives. Let Jesus be present. The church needs to teach the Word, but the attendees need to just love the individual next to them the way they are. Unfortunately the church is the other way around. They don’t confront the real sins of self righteousness and gossip in the pew, letting their people think they have arrived at a place where they can judge others. We are called to love, not judge.

We emphasize judgement. There is something that seems close to Judgement which people don't practice much these days. Firstly yes judging people is usually a hypocrite fake Christian who points the finger and condemns people. The thing we should do is lovingly and patiently show them the mirror of the law (10 commandments and have them judge themselves by asking them questions as to let them see themselves as sinners. Then you show them the reality of the biblical judgement to come (not from us as Christians) when they realise they are in trouble and are sinners only then will they understand and value the gospel. The Bible says that the gospel is as foolishness to those who are perishing. They are offended by the gospel and see it as foolish. Unless they know they are sick and need a cure. When you offer a sick person a cure they understand it and really value it. Hope comes next and joy follows. But if a person is expecting an easier life and a magic genie god they are 90% of the time going to backslide. We need to use the law and the gospel as disease and cure. Looking at her music she is clearly far from a Christian in lifestyle and belief and you can hear her confession ( I call that God for me) we are quick to call God what we want him to be for us but forget he is the almighty creator and our desire for him to be something other than he is to confirm to our own sins is pure Idolitry. Making an idol. You shall have no other Gods before me. You shall not make an idol for yourselves When did reality and God's doctrine become Judgement? When did subjective opinion become God and when did we decide that people and their list are to be accommodated rather then shown the way to salvation? @sopno2093 I am well aware of the verse. My best friend is a Muslim, and we share our beliefs all the time...and ask questions respectfully to better understand each others faiths. I think both Christians and Muslims should seek to understand one another instead of the "my religion is better than yours" bashing that goes on today. Words we speak will not change people hearts as much as genuine our attitude to them and others (who we really are not who we say we are).
The church I went to allowed me to come as I was and stay that way for years. There was no accountability. I was even a leader in the church until one day I met the real Jesus. He immediately filled me with his spirit and transformed my life. I left the church to spend time in my prayer closet and it was in that place that I could hear God clearly. I forsook my old life and gave up everything to follow Jesus. Had I stayed in that lukewarm church I’d be headed straight to hell!!

So any good works you do is accredited to God and Jesus working through you. God is graceful and merciful, but the question is what does she mean by judging? No one is better than the next person, we've all sinned and may have moments of sin in our life in the future. However, that's different than willfully sinning, and "a righteous man judges all things". We shouldn't be condemning people but we can humbly and compassionately point out where things are wrong. Some people aren't ready to deny themselves for God. You can come as you are, but you should be willing to change for God. I’m a new Christian and I’ve already experienced Church hurt, but I keep turning to Jesus, and his word, and his goodness. 1 Peter 2:1-25 says it all… but what I feel she’s struggling with is the letting Go and letting God. Jesus says “Do not be conformed to this world,[a] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” … it’s too hard to let go of the World when it’s given you so much… If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

So there in my room, I gave my life to Christ, I said… Everything I thought was true isn’t, but that I believed Jesus Christ is real, that he died for my sins and resurrected on the third day and I felt something start filling me from head to toes. And I felt a heaviness I was carrying on my shoulders fall off like a backpack and instantly my eyes were opened. I knew The Bible was true, Jesus is the truth and that I was a sinner, I felt so ashamed I couldn’t even look towards the sky. Fast forward I walked away from Catholicism found a Christian church and am looking for ways to expand the kingdom of God here on Earth 🕊🙏🏻
That’s one of the biggest reasons for church… to learn. Unfortunately I have been “hurt” way more than I care to admit but I learned that I wasn’t there for personal relationships. Yes but coming to Jesus isn't coming to church and expecting your life to get better right. We are missing the point of people coming to church. We need to disciple them and get them to understand their sin disease so they can go to the foot of the cross and receive Jesus. Without the law they see the gospel as foolish.

I've heard someone say it like this: if someone plays a symphony by Bethovan poorly, you don't blame Bethoven. Christ's redemption and a relationship with him are always open to anyone on earth. He lived the only perfect example of a perfect life. He did not deviate from The Father's path in any way(=sinning), doing no wrong. Now his followers must try and follow his example. If the church fails by improperly/sinfuly rejecting you, you still can & must accept Christ into your heart, and start changing into who he wants you to be. However, you have to understand if the church gets a little defensive. If someone walks into a hospital with a deadly contagious disease, the doctors will let them in, but they may have to quarantine and monitor that patient to prevent any further harm to the other patients. That's like the family of God, or the church. We all were infected with sinful natures, but Jesus (who is God) took our infections, sacrificed himself to neutralize them (dying on the cross to pay the price of all our sins), and came back from the dead to show that they were neutralized (Arose three days later to show that God forgave us after He[Jesus] suffered our consequences for us). Now we (who have accepted Christ and are building a relationship with him), are working with him and eachother to get rid of the after effects (to live purely without sinning). However what that means is, we have to be wary of who we let around us. We cannot allow those who don't really want revival to influence or hurts us. It's the church's responsibility to love those both inside and outside, but what's the point of being a shelter/refuge if danger can get in? The church just has to be careful, and while it may make mistakes, it should try to help both those outside, and inside. Those are done differently though, and I think people can sometimes confuse the caution for spurning. If you feel a bit judged when you enter a church, you must consider if it is arrogant pressue, or just cautious inspection. If it is that cautious inspection, or constructive criticism, that's a good sign. It is a good indicator that a church really cares about you. They are just trying to find how you to help heal and grow in God.
There is a clear distinction between the Church and the Lord. I do understand how the weary soul can get it confused but relationship with the Lord and devouring His Word is what will bring us to the place where we feel worthy in Him. Jesus has done the work on the cross and sits on the right side of power. Amen.
This is the problem for all religious people. They forget to love. Just because people missed and sinful, doesnt mean you can just say whatever you think you right. It's the work of God to make them turn back, not men. Just love them at first, next we can learn together, not judging each other
So true! Nowadays it seems so much easier to judge anybody including celebrities for how they live their life. But the unpopular thing few people would do is pray for them. They are regular people just like we are. A soul is a soul, there’s no limit to what God can do for them. Pray that the Lord brings them to salvation!

The thing I think a lot of Christians miss is that we are never to judge someone. Scripture doesn’t teach that. It says TO judge, but in a righteous manner. For example, John 7:24.

We emphasize judgement. There is something that seems close to Judgement which people don't practice much these days. Firstly yes judging people is usually a hypocrite fake Christian who points the finger and condemns people. The thing we should do is lovingly and patiently show them the mirror of the law (10 commandments and have them judge themselves by asking them questions as to let them see themselves as sinners. Then you show them the reality of the biblical judgement to come (not from us as Christians) when they realise they are in trouble and are sinners only then will they understand and value the gospel. The Bible says that the gospel is as foolishness to those who are perishing. They are offended by the gospel and see it as foolish. Unless they know they are sick and need a cure. When you offer a sick person a cure they understand it and really value it. Hope comes next and joy follows. But if a person is expecting an easier life and a magic genie god they are 90% of the time going to backslide. We need to use the law and the gospel as disease and cure. Looking at her music she is clearly far from a Christian in lifestyle and belief and you can hear her confession ( I call that God for me) we are quick to call God what we want him to be for us but forget he is the almighty creator and our desire for him to be something other than he is to confirm to our own sins is pure Idolitry. I think both Christians and Muslims should seek to understand one another instead of the "my religion is better than yours" bashing that goes on today. Words we speak will not change people hearts as much as genuine our attitude to them and others (who we really are not who we say we are).
The church I went to allowed me to come as I was and stay that way for years. There was no accountability. I was even a leader in the church until one day I met the real Jesus. He immediately filled me with his spirit and transformed my life. I left the church to spend time in my prayer closet and it was in that place that I could hear God clearly. I forsook my old life and gave up everything to follow Jesus. Had I stayed in that lukewarm church I’d be headed straight to hell!!

Fast forward I walked away from Catholicism found a Christian church and am looking for ways to expand the kingdom of God here on Earth 🕊🙏🏻
That’s one of the biggest reasons for church… to learn. Unfortunately I have been “hurt” way more than I care to admit but I learned that I wasn’t there for personal relationships. You DO come as you are, but then God changes you in HIS time. Katy Perry knows all of this, her parents are both pastors. I met them actually and her mom did a prophecy over me, it’s something I will remember for the rest of my life ❤ and they know their daughter is struggling with darkness, they asked us to pray for her, so let’s do just that.

Yes but coming to Jesus isn't coming to church and expecting your life to get better right. We are missing the point of people coming to church. We need to disciple them and get them to understand their sin disease so they can go to the foot of the cross and receive Jesus. Without the law they see the gospel as foolish.

Jesus doesn’t ask you to come as you are. He tells you to be born again.
Yes you must be born again, but It is God who causes us to be born again, we cannot just choose that ourselves because we are dead IN trespasses and sins. Spiritually dead. Ezekiel 36:21-27, John 3:3-12. We should pray for God to open her eyes, cause her to be born again.

If I'm walking down the street and my friends see me drunk about to walk into traffic, I'd want them to look at me bring me in their vehicle and chastise me "your a man of God, your a husband and father, you know better than that" rather than to look at me and say "oh who am I to judge, he may need that drunken stupor he has right now" my friends would not be in the wrong since what they are doing is out of a place if love

I've heard someone say it like this: if someone plays a symphony by Bethovan poorly, you don't blame Bethoven. Christ's redemption and a relationship with him are always open to anyone on earth. He lived the only perfect example of a perfect life. He did not deviate from The Father's path in any way(=sinning), doing no wrong. Now his followers must try and follow his example. If the church fails by improperly/sinfuly rejecting you, you still can & must accept Christ into your heart, and start changing into who he wants you to be.
However, you have to understand if the church gets a little defensive. If someone walks into a hospital with a deadly contagious disease, the doctors will let them in, but they may have to quarantine and monitor that patient to prevent any further harm to the other patients. That's like the family of God, or the church. We all were infected with sinful natures, but Jesus (who is God) took our infections, sacrificed himself to neutralize them (dying on the cross to pay the price of all our sins), and came back from the dead to show that they were neutralized (Arose three days later to show that God forgave us after He[Jesus] suffered our consequences for us).
Now we (who have accepted Christ and are building a relationship with him), are working with him and eachother to get rid of the after effects (to live purely without sinning). However what that means is, we have to be wary of who we let around us. We cannot allow those who don't really want revival to influence or hurts us. It's the church's responsibility to love those both inside and outside, but what's the point of being a shelter/refuge if danger can get in? The church just has to be careful, and while it may make mistakes, it should try to help both those outside, and inside. Those are done differently though, and I think people can sometimes confuse the caution for spurning. If you feel a bit judged when you enter a church, you must consider if it is arrogant pressue, or just cautious inspection. If it is that cautious inspection, or constructive criticism, that's a good sign. It is a good indicator that a church really cares about you. They are just trying to find how you to help heal and grow in God.

There is a clear distinction between the Church and the Lord. I do understand how the weary soul can get it confused but relationship with the Lord and devouring His Word is what will bring us to the place where we feel worthy in Him. This is the problem for all religious people. They forget to love. Just because people missed and sinful, doesnt mean you can just say whatever you think you right. It's the work of God to make them turn back, not men. Just love them at first, next we can learn together, not judging each other

So true! Nowadays it seems so much easier to judge anybody including celebrities for how they live their life. But the unpopular thing few people would do is pray for them. They are regular people just like we are. A soul is a soul, there’s no limit to what God can do for them. Pray that the Lord brings them to salvation!

The problem is that if you feel like the church asking you to change your ways and turn to God.. Then that's not "judging".. That IS compassion but you're too attached to your sins to see it that way.. That being said, there are indeed many Christians who can't figure out how to be compassionate towards people just because they sin, and that sinful as well..
