When my sojo goes walkabouts i clean my sewing room a bit, yes, it helps a lot. Or watch videos like yours, that inspire as well as educate me. More times than I like to admit the real problem is that I haven't been physical enough. I've gone past my quilt-energy reserves and start making ridiculous mistakes. Time to get up and move around -- there's always plenty of home-keeping to do, and when I come back to the machine I'm refreshed and enthusiastic. Dear Son says I should set a timer...I'm gonna try it :D
O where has the time gone I could watch you for hours I hope I can learn to go this on an a Bernina 740 that my mom passed down to me. She was an amazing seamstress.
I really love this new video with both the close up of the needle and the smaller picture watching your posture! It really helps for those of us who are learning and new!
I really enjoyed this as a “live” quilting experience without all of the editing done for a tutorial. It is very encouraging to see the mechanics of the process.
I loved the live today. I particularly like the full view of the needle but also getting to see you while you’re working and talking. It was great to see how you work things out as you go. Your thought process in moving from one area to another is very similar to mine. I hope this means I will be as good as you are one day!

Thank you for this! It's nice that we could toss out design requests and see how you handled them on the fly. Or rather seeing how you fit them in the spaces you have without stopping to plan or edit. This helps us longarmers expand our thinking for on the fly decisions (the kind of longarmer I am as well) And especially how you fit the plume feather in such an odd space...my mind would not have gone there. I think more live chats in the future like this would be great so we can see the paths you travel on the spot. And hey...no tech gremlins today either! :)

I love watching your FMQ tutorials while I sew, but alas, I don't have any machine with a throat that large. I can barely get a hand between the needle and right side of any of my machines. But keep doing these as I just love watching them.
Really enjoyed seeing you free motion in real time. Understand why you edit out the "boring" parts to save time on most videos, but this is great for a beginner to see.
This was fun to watch as I was having my supper. I'm a pretty green quilter working on some fmq designs on a table runner. I'm using my patchwork as my grid for the fmq elements. Some day I'm hoping my "motion" part of fmq will smooth out ... mine is still very herky-jerky. But I decided to make another pass over it and, like you mentioned in this session, it looks like it was meant to be that way. A big part of my challenge was that I was having to do the fmq elements in my borders, so I wasn't able to get proper hand placement. I was actually grasping the whole edge of the quilt sandwich while doing the maneuvers. I hope I'm not creating a bad habit. I hope my next project will be such that I'm doing the fmq in the interior of my piece rather than in the borders so close to the quilt's edges.
Loved how spontaneous this was! Really helpful to just watch you quilt, move around and answer questions as you went. I’m hoping to be able to make another wedding quilt (for son 2) and will use everything I’ve learned since I finished the first one (pre-flora challenge!)
I haven't been quilting long, but I've been a crafter for a very long time...when I lose my mojo, I look at pictures of things I've completed to spur me on to the next project, look at projects that others have done to inspire me or switch to something different like do one quilt block for another project and put it on my design board... having that to jump to and see it progress on my wall helps me see how much I've accomplished and gets me back to the machine! BTW, I love watching all your videos, these inspire me too! I've learned SO much from them, not the least of which is to just relax and enjoy quilting 😁 ETA: It's also good to know "why" you lost your mojo...is it that you're stuck on a decision and don't want to move forward yet, is your machine acting up, is the fabric not the quality you like or is the piecing/quilting not turning out how you'd like? Addressing the issue will help clear your mind and get you back at it...best of luck and HTH!

Would love to see how you fmq with bulky seams like with foundation paper piecing. I sometimes struggle to even come up with ideas for FPP blocks because I don’t want to mess with the bulk in some areas! Ideas or a video on it would be great.
To find your sew-jo walk away for as long as it takes and be okay with that. Respect the process and enjoy it whenever you are able to finish. If you’re on a deadline, wine is always the answer!!!

I’m a fan. I’m just learning quilting and I have done it for 3 months watching Angela. I’ve purchased may of your books, all of your rulers and I want to get in on the quilt alongs but I keep missing them and when I find things I have issues trying to get the stuff.
When I lose my “sewjo” I take a day and grab my scraps basket and just start randomly sewing them together. I just sew straight lines essentially. It’s like a reset for my brain.
I have a few questions that I would love your expertise on. 1) What is the smallest size that you recommend keeping the individual pebbles so that they don’t loose their readability? 2) Do you have any tips on how to keep the top arch shape of the feather? I feel like mine don’t get the full tear drop shape. 3) What spacing do you recommend between wedges when dot-to-dot quilting?

If I don't feel like quilting or sewing, I work on planning quilts. Are you putting the pattern for the pillow panel quilt up separately? I might play around with that design and make it a runner instead of a topper - that is the kind of thing I love doing.
What would you do if someone gave you 2 white sheets and said knock yourself out? Like all they really wanted was a custom quilted Angela Walters showcasing the quilting itself. No holds barred, what would that be?
The item you're quilting looks more like a quarter of the Bouquet quilt, than what I'm seeing in your store, that's labeled Pillow Panel. Can you explain why please? If it is pieced, what do I need to buy, and is there a pattern?
Clean your machine. Completely re thread including the bobbin. Change the needle as sometimes even new needles are poor. Check that your needle has not raised a spike when hitting the base plate or the bobbin. Hope this helps

I always organize my quilting room too. That's slways helps when I lose my MOJO or if I'm feeling overwhelmed by all my projects

I have found I am "serpentine" challenged. I am loving swirls, feathers, and pebbles. My pebbles need work. I tend to overdo them.
