Sounds like the cops may have dropped the ball on this one. Also I think setting off fireworks should be regulated to one day and a specific time frame. Some people continue with it for several days at all hours. This can become distressing for the elderly, people with small children, and those with pets.
July 4th has nearly always been a war zone. can't remember the last occasion who is a good deal with mocktails and hot dogs with good friends, and immediate safety.
