No, they are going back to the oldest design which was this, I hated those plastic ones, they burned me cause of the rubber when I acidently moved the rubber.

Omigosh, they're bringing back the Polly Compacts!!! I admit I was really disappointed when they let the whole "pocket" part o Polly Pocket fall away in favour of bigger dolls in the 00s, though I understand that the original PP were SO small, they got lost ALL the time. I loved them so much, though! I'm still a huge fan of miniatures and tiny dollhouses in tin cans and the like. This seems like a great compromise! Small enough to fit in a purse or pocket (or backpack, for those bigger ones) and big enough that you won't immediately drop and four millimetre doll and lose her! Oh man, I used to have a set with tiny tiny Polly and HER tiny tiny TINY rabbits, with flocking, that were so small I almost had to squint to see them!! I'm so excited for this line of toys! Definitely buying some for my daughters!

in 1998 when I first came to america at age 6 polly pocket was the very first toy my parents ever bought me here. it came with a mini house that was pink and opened up. also had straps so i could wear it like a backpack and the house was heart shaped reather than circle shaped like this playset.
