    It's not just an insanely cool patch, it's also insanely cool musically.

    What I like in your videos is that you’re not cheating, you really struggle to explore all possibilities and manage to create such amazing song, which is not the easy part because modular music can be very baaaad. And this one is also very instructive!

    Props for the 1U Sloth, I built two of them to go in my 7U case, they are the perfect use (for me) of the 1U size. Really enjoy seeing more Teletype content - I practically live in mine. I've never really gelled with my Morphagene, but this gave me some ideas!

      Thanks man... yeah, the 1U sloth modules are probably more consistently used in my racks than just about any other modules!

    I've been eyeballing the Teletype, Morphagene, Mimeophon, and Sloth for a while now. I've watched tons of videos on each. But this video has sold me on them. Cheers and thank you! (Now to scrounge up the funds...)

    This is awesome, it led me to start experimenting with teletype + qu-bit nebulae last night. Looking forward to seeing the code behind your Rule 30 sequencer :)

    Fascinating setup! I knew of the Morphagene's talents, but that Monome Grid controller is just drop dead gorgeous! If I was smart enough to figure it out, I'd have to get one on looks alone.

      Yeah, I'm super excited by the possibilities unlocked by the Grid. You can do a lot out of the box with it by using other modules from Monome as well!

    I'm also thinking about my slim eurorack box, maybe it's monome box:
    here is my setup
    4robot o_c 1u
    intellijel fx 1u(for reverb and delay)
    teletype
    ansible
    mangrove
    justfriends
    w/(2.0 beta firmware has new feature for delay and synth! )
    coldmac(if I change the music things startup mixer to HPO, it can be three sister)
    thanks for your video, it's very useful and inspiring!

    Another great video from you! Thank you for making the time to put this up. It’s very helpful. Could you elaborate on how grid connects to teletype and how teletype is configured to run the algorithm? I’m very intrigued. Did you download a script/scene to it? And is grid connect directly to the teletype? Sorry for so many questions, but this relatively new to me. Trying to make sense of that combo. Thank you!

    • @ZsaZsaRoboto
      @ZsaZsaRoboto  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Rohan, I’m happy to answer your questions! The Grid connects directly to the Teletype, however it doesn’t do anything without code on the Teletype controlling it. I wrote all the code I’m using on it (and have published most of it in the Lines forum). The Teletype has a set of commands to control the grid-it even has a grid emulator so you don’t have to have a grid connected to test your code. I have recently started publishing a tutorial series for Teletype on this channel. In future episodes of that I will cover the grid commands extensively, so stay tuned :-) …feel free to ask any follow up questions!

      @@ZsaZsaRoboto Ok, I do have one question. In the manual (v3.1.0, it says "grid must be powered externally, do not connect it directly to teletype!". I'm confused by this with regards to what you explained. What am I missing?

    • @ZsaZsaRoboto
      @ZsaZsaRoboto  3 роки тому +1

      Ah, yes... I believe this applies to older versions of the Teletype. There was a design change in 2018 that fixed this. You can tell if you have a new version from the color of the PCB... new ones are black! ...also, if you buy a Teletype directly from Monome today it will be the new version that can support the higher power output needed for Grid.
