Thank you for sharing. It is sad to know that monoshock are not designed for carrying heavy loads. We usually carry 100 to 150 kilos of cargo - up to 230kilos total with driver, on the pillion seat. Now we will have to lower cargo weight to 100 kilos only
Nice job, Revving Heart! Good subject and my guess is that dual-shock systems are made to deliver comfort - you don’t see them on modern sport bikes... as the manufacturer prioritize stability - my opinion! As for your accent: - Don’t give a shit for those haters mentioning it; the more you practice the more you’ll learn. I am Brazilian so my mother language isn’t English as well and, obviously, I got an accent! But I heard from many American friends they wished to know some Portuguese as I know English! So be proud of yourself - you dominate one language and are working to get another!
As far as rider comfort, it all depends on what your bike is set up for. If you have a bagger where you're loading lots of weight besides yourself, twin shock system is usually quite a bit better as it's able to control the weight without compromising it's stability that much. Monoshock suspension is usually better at keeping light bikes stable as there is less weight to control and the deflection of the shock means there's less travel to deal with when hitting bumps.
I have a 2003 W650 Kawasaki with 50,000 km on it. The rear suspension is rubbish and I have seen the odd YAMAHA SR convex monoshock. As bike is already customed I don’t mind chopping and changing and really love to fit a monoshock system. Does one know how? I have already eliminated the air box so there is plenty of space.
how about the behaviour of both during cornering?.... in twin shock....the inner piston gets more force tgan the outer one and that makes the tail of tge bike unstable!
Vijay Yadav .....I mentioned this before by exposing that modern sport bikes don’t come with dual-shock suspensions systems. Well, we’ll pay the price: - Wanna go fast ? Get more stability rather than comfort! ....
There is not a definite answer to that question both types of suspension can be tuned for comfort. I'll suggest you to take some test rides and check whether the ergonomics of the motorcycle is causing any strain on spine because ergonomics of the motorcycle also plays a huge role in the comfort, especially for people with spinal issues. Avoid motorcycles with too aggressive riding posture and with too upright riding posture.
Hi, i got query regarding the shock experienced on the body & footrest. Despite monoshock operating good, i still could feel the hard shock on the footrest even while hitting small pothole. Am riding moped bike (Honda RS150, which is street motorcycle popular in SEA) I’ve just change to after market monoshock, tyres, and reduce tyre pressure - still feel the hard shock
but I didn't see this in Pulsar, I enjoy riding it, don't have to worry about how the road is, with or without pillion. I still don't understand people buying honda unicorn stuff, just for mileage and resale value, is there no concern for comfort at all?
Your maths on twin shock piston stroke movement are 100% wrong sir, unless the rear shock is vertically mounted, which they aren't and even then it isn't totally correct. Any shock mounted at an angle has piston movements on a variable ratio.
how about dual monoshocks? anyone? 😂😂 (just popped out of my mind since last week i saw a cruiser in which has been modified and now has a monoshock and dual shocks in the rear)

I had no problem understanding you. Thanks for sharing the knowledge

monoshock bikes look gorgeous!
in twin shocks there is a problem in one shock fails and the other is still good causing stability problems, or issues in cornering.
Rhis liyerally nvr happens , what do u even mean by fail ? They dont j8st five up
Thank you for a well laid out and narrated video, explains the workings and faults in a simple but informative manner, regards Doc Cox.

Thank you so much for the support brother, really appreciate it...
You ate half of the words!
On the English subtitles, it is accurate

Brilliant explanation! Wish I could give 10 thumbs up.
Sir which is more comfortable for ridders.
For ... Loading LUGGAGE etc .. twin shock absorber..
And for only pillion LOADING ... Mono shock is best
@@a_n_guria agree
Your English is good brother and the video is lovely.
No one uses dual shocks other than for vintage builds.
good explanation in a short time.
As far as rider comfort is concerned pls advise which is better.

What type of monoshock does Ninja 650/ER-6n have? I could not get the word...Thank you.

Why wpuld it make it unstable ? The moment of force acting ia not enpugh to unsettle steel components used in sh9cks
Sir which setup brings backpain easily?
great explanation. For regular commute which one do your suggest?
U did not talk about front mono shock advantages and disadvantages. But anyway thanks for the info.
Why in this day an age, would you have a mono shock front end unless you're on a scooter??
you did a great job with this video thanks for sharing...
Great video man. Subscribed.btw what is better for a person with spinal issues dual or monoshock; i mostly ride single...

Change or add the seat paddings. Like latex foam if available.
Is it fine if we replace stock monoshock suspension with better quality suspensions like kayaba monoshocks?
what's best for long drive?
Mono shock is worst for comfort, don't know about multi link, those come with Honda unicorn is worst
Most of road bike suspension is set for rider & pilion. Thus will be stiff for solo ride.
but I didn't see this in Pulsar, I enjoy riding it, don't have to worry about how the road is, with or without pillion. I still don't understand people buying honda unicorn stuff, just for mileage and resale value, is there no concern for comfort at all?

Can a monoshock suspension bike bear 200kg weight or not.tell sir
Well explained nice video hope to see more videos
monoshock is better for turn/cornering
good information
Awesome.
Good flow ... great...
"the two shock absorbers and the higher travel it offers"..... rubbish! A mono-shock with a lever system allows more rear wheel travel
Nice bro
Thankyou
