Jay, this video is awesome. I was born in ‘75. Ghostbusters was a HUGE part of my childhood. I have been to LA/Hollywood/Burbank a few times. I have to say that if CA state income tax was 14% I would love living there. I have a friend who worked for Screen Gems in Burbank. I went to a taping of The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno. I also have a fellow stage hand that worked on Big Bang Theory.

The Millennium Biltmore Hotel is the location for the some of the Academy Awards ceremonies. Walt Disney received the Oscars for Seven Dwarfs at Academy Awards event at Biltmore Hotel in 1939. Also, the Black Dahlia murder case involved the Biltmore Hotel. A very historic Los Angeles location. Enjoy your time here in the Greater Los Angeles area!

Nice video man!! I have visited the NYC locations and Sony Studios but I have never been to the Firehouse/ hotel interiors!! Noticed you didn’t see the giant hand painted picture that was used at the end of GB2. It was in the prop room next to some proton packs and a set piece from afterlife. This was a real treat, thank you for sharing :) Scott
If you were referring to the drone. If you see the new Frozen Empire Ecto 1 toy artwork you would know what they mean. So awesome Jay. The Lobby was also from the beginning of the film Stargate when she met Doctor Jackson/James Spader.

Wow what a day! I did not know the interior shot locations for Ghostbusters were in LA. Thanks Jay! Did you do the regular Sony daily tour or the premium tour?
Yep they shot the interiors in LA because the real station is too small to make a movie in so they had to make it bigger so they could do camera shots inside the exteriors were done in NY itself.
It was also because hook.and ladder 8 was and still is a firehouse so they wasnt allowed to film inside. Also they only had a small timeframe to shoot outside just incase the fire truck had to leave for an emergency@josephbennett3482

I used to work for a prop studio prior to leaving Ca.. It was kewl seeing on display some of the spiderman and MIB props I actually worked on. Glad you enjoyed them as well.

Unbelievable! GBTVG Sedgewick interior level uses locations from the actual Biltmore hotel used in GB1 THAT WEREN'T SEEN IN THE MOVIE! (ceiling detailing main room, reception desk, large hall on right of entrance, ceiling light panels, vases, flowers, indirect lights on hallway ceilings, etc. Incredible!)

Awesome I didn't get to see the inside of the firehouse I'm jealous. I did do the studio tour back in November. I'm super glad the ecto was parked in front of ghost corps that day. Was the whole reason I did the tour.

On top of seeing the video and pictures you took of the Sony tour blew me away. The Jeopardy pictures you showed gave me goosebumps. BTW, I'm super excited for March 22, since that is when Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire comes out. I'm so excited. I don't have the 1st 2 on DVD, but I do have the Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (Melissa McCarthy one) & Ghostbusters: Afterlife on DVD. Once this new one hits DVD, I want that one too. I've got to get the original 2 on DVD as well. That way I've got them all!

Another great vlog on another one of my favorite films!! My brother in-law was a FDNY firefighter in Harlem for many decades and was able to get access to some of the New York filming locations. I just finished watching the latest installment of the ghostbusters movie franchise the actual 3rd one that included Harold Ramis as a ghost due to his unfortunate passing which was filmed by Ivan Reitmans son. I believe his name is Steven Reitman. The next ghostbusters film will be coming out soon in the future. Ghostbusters afterlife frozen empire. I absolutely love the ghostbusters franchise and not that stupid remake from the 3 women. Some people probably liked it however not this guy. I’m looking forward to see what else you got coming up!
These types of buildings exist but it also reminds me a lot that in that place they filmed the movie about the mask when Stanley Ipkis goes to pick up his car at a mechanic shop

It's pretty cool to see all the pictures they have hanging in the hallways at the Builtmore (I know I spelled that wrong). It's actual movie HISTORY right there and that is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's amazballs!

Much of the filming for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire was in London and at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden (home of the Harry Potter Movies) just outside London.
oh wow....have watched many of these movies, and have seen seinfeld once or twice and blimey I envy you at this point in time....all those props from all those movies and shows, WOW can't believe it , but if I ever go to america to holiday I will have to do the Sony Pictures tour.
