I LOVE Sweet & Sour Sauce! I could eat it on everything for every meal! I've tried over 40 recipes, but always ended up trucking down to our local Chinese take-out to order several quarts. ( I would order several gallons, but I'm sure they would throw me out.) Your recipe looks fantastic-- I'm on my way to the kitchen!

Sweet and sour sauce was the first Asian Sauce I learned to make. Don't laugh! It was around 1979 soon after a Chinese restaurant popped up in my town. At 16, obesseed with the food, I discovered it in the library in a church cookbook. It consisted of ketchup, vinegar, sugar, orange juice, and soy sauce (if you could find it) -- all to taste. This video brings back fond memories. Thank you for your culture's gifts to America! ❤

Thinking of freezing the sauce for use in other recipes. Obviously, the amount a recipe will require will vary depending on recipe and number of portions. Do you have suggestions for whether to freeze in quarter, half or full cup portions and how to know how much to defrost/use in your recipes?

I'm always amazed at the genius of this combination of ingredients. Combinations that most people wouldn't even contemplate. However, someone took a leap of faith and thought "I'll combine a sweetener with something alkaline and maybe add some salt just to see what I come up with". A really versatile sauce. I'd say it was genius but I think I already said that. 😊

What's the point of making a cooking video if your not even going to give the name of the ingredients and the measurements? Pretty much useless

Tap on the title under the video, then scroll down & tap on Sweet and Sour Sauce whenever it's underlined & you'll eventually get the full recipe with step-by- step instructions.
It took me quite a while to figure out how to find it too!
