HD Test (Full HD) Sony Handycam HDR-SR12

File size after rendering in after effects: 110MB
After effects output module:
-Quicktime movie. MPEG-4 Video. Best quality. 29.97 fps.
Those were basically the settings that I changed so it would render properly. Other settings didn't worked smoothly.
I uploaded another video where the footage is the original from the handycam.
* UA-cam accepts HD video files, but even if you upload a full HD video like this one, it will scale it down to 720p, considering this is the largest HD quality it accepts. The Sony handycam sr12 doesn't record in 720p, it records in 1080p (Full HD) and in 1440x1080, I think that is called 1080i? Not sure. It also records in SD, in my Time Freeze video I use the SD HQ of the sony sr12, in case you were wondering how does it look.

@flyinghigher3 before you buy it, be aware that it records in 1080i, which means it will look perfect on an HDTV and on the camcorder itself, but when viewing the video on a computer it'll look like interlaced footage. (if you're not editing or if your target is to view the footage in an HDTV then never mind me) Just saying because it may be the one thing that annoys me about this handycam.

don't worry that happens 2 me all the time but when you upload them the sound will come back.

I always end up encoding stock footage anyways. What kind of export settings do you use in Premiere Pro?

hi, can you please tell me is this camera really recording 1080p, or is it just 1080i? when you capture the file to your computer, is it interlaced? can it record in 720p? Please reply, thanks

im sorry i have to tell you this, but its a 1080(60i) camera. no progressive. if you want 1080p, theres canon and panasonic.
if you really want this camera, just use a video editing program like premiere pro, imovie, pinnacle studio or avid media composer to convert the camera's 60i footage to 30p or 24p
