I have to disagree with you TD and agree with Sandra. My parents moved to Montreal from India. I was born in Montreal. My parents dont understand nor speak french. I never went to english school. I was only offered to study in french. I did my elementary school in french. Did my high school in french while learnig the french culture. Then I continued my studies in English in Cegep and attended University in english. Today I am perfectly bilingual and this hurdle now allows me to work anywhere as I am bilingual.

Imagine if a French person expressed such opinions about Hindi or any Indian language, imagine the hate that person would have got. Criticize if you can take criticism. Try to embrace other cultures instead of imposing your own in the garb of victim hood. What typical Indian immigrants do in Canada and everywhere else.

No its not. even Punjabis in any part of India speak in Punjabi. Same goes to other states. TD is not wrong if he wants to choose the type of education he wants. Come out of the mindset of Gulams, that whatever Indians do , is wrong and we should surrender and accept the west.

@@Aapkaunkhamkha First of all, Canada is not India and Punjabi isn't a Canadian language, English and French are. And what kind of entitlement is this that you come to a country where people speak different language than you, that country accepts you and give you everything you wanted, and in turn you turn around and go, "I demand you teach me in my regional language." What the hell, dude? Have some sensibility and learn to integrate into the culture of the country you moved to. The sentiment you presented is EXACTLY why people are beginning to hate South Asian immigrants.

In schools in Quebec, it's important to note that the medium of instruction is primarily French, without a strong emphasis on English. This choice is rooted in various reasons, including the preservation of the local culture and the desire to uphold the prominence of the French language within the province. This approach reflects Quebec's commitment to its linguistic heritage and contributes to the distinctive identity of the region within Canada.

Sandra is right TD. I am an immigrant who came in through the QSWP process and even if you come in through the Express entry process, if you are staying in Quebec, it is a rule to send the kids to Public schools which are French medium. That being said, we have a friend who had to struggle and get an exemption to get her kid to study in English school but it is very rare. In most cases, you have to send the kid to a private English school if you are interested in sending the kids to French medium schools.

Brands where you can get all of this stuff:-
    Overshirt-Zara, H&m, Selected Homme, & Rare Rabbit(maybe).
T-Shirts,Polo- Zara, CK, Armani, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Lacoste.
    Denims- CK, Lacoste, Selected Homme.
Chinos- Zara, Ted Baker, Emporio Armani, & Ralph Lauren
Sneakers- Lacoste, Nike Air Jordan, Toms(Slip ons), Armani Exchange.

In case there is an opportunity to educate ur kids, it is best to train them in english as it is practiced in USA/UK. The way they use word, idioms and generally express themselves is very different from other places that speak english. Hey there, it seems like Sandra might not have been comfortable discussing the topic you brought up in the video. Perhaps she's become accustomed to your tone, which occasionally comes across as conclusive and might not align with her views. It's understandable, given that her family might be watching the videos. If I were in her shoes and heard your explanations about the French community and Quebec, my feelings might be hurt. Although India has its own issues, it might be better to focus on positive topics like travel and family when Sandra appears on the channel. This video felt more like a debate than a discussion. Just a suggestion: topics like immigration, regulations, and human rights could be discussed with professionals. We enjoy watching you both, but the videos' energy can impact how we perceive them. You have a strong opinion about learning in native language only. There are so many developed countries speaks only in their native language. This is good way to preserve your heritage. Today you have lots of technology driven options for translations.

The way you have argued with Sandra seems like you are too aggressive. Being knowledgeable is good but underestimate others knowledge is absolutely wrong. Its advisable to listen to others then research on the topic if you are not aware of it. Always feels like you are right and the other person is wrong is absolutely wrong. The way you have argued with Sandra, she must be felt low. I am just sharing what i felt & being a family member just expressing my thoughts.

Listen.. you have to respect the land and their rules..
I am from northeast India, Nagaland to be precise.. and we don't really like Hindi cuz we have our own dialect and feel more comfortable in English but we are being taught Hindi cumpolsory in school.. that applies to all the schools which is mostly English medium schools.
we don't complain cuz Nagaland comes under India..
So you can't ask for that freedom when India itself does the same !!
