- Cody Jinks, Courtney Patton, and Deryl Dodd got together on Luckenbach's outdoor stage, this sunny Sunday afternoon for a "Song Swap".I had never attended one of these types of performances, but let me tell you, November 2nd, 2014 was a day to remember! The humorous interaction between the performers on stage, and the audience was perfect. Great singing and guitar playing, by all 3. I already love everything Cody does, but found 2 other GREAT musicians on this outing. Only thing missing this day was Mr, Jason Eady!

My dad passed away yesterday in December. Loved what Cody said. “ that’s what right with me, that’s what’s wrong with me “
Lost my best friend and brother in February, while morning him I played this and my uncle said it was to sad....then after him listening to it, it became his favorite song. He died 3 months later unexpectedly and we played it as the first song at his funeral. I know he was smiling and singing....He would ask me what am I doing with my life and I would say, growing a beard asshole...Billy and Russ love you and miss you with all my heart.

I don't know him personally but from what I've gathered from his song writing and a few interviews Cody jinks is one of the coolest most down to earth musicians on the scene right now. Also one of the very few that I feel won't sell their soul to the corporate music devil. I love this good mans music!

What a beautiful song and I especially enjoyed the introduction. We know what you’re talking about. We can start naming them all the ones that really mess people up and we weren’t there for them so it took us a long time to trust the church we go to now took me two years, a bit back and away going a bit away cause I didn’t trust them. I thought it was a trick, but I know finally in my heart with the Holy Spirit as my guide at the church I go to now is real all centre saved by Grace and we all make mistakes every day, and there can be people in the church that don’t really believe and don’t follow what their brothers and sisters in the church. Believe we have to watch for that as well because the Dave’s trying to get us all the devil doesn’t want us to love God in Jesus, the devil wants to destroy us, the church I hang my head in the seventh day Adventist Church.
