Wow. I was just about to give up trying to create a VM and I found this. No unnecessary talking about side issues. Straight to the point and it worked as advertised. Thank you so much!
I was paranoid about windows 10 losing support so I “upgraded” to 11. I had so much problems with 11 on my 2022 ROG laptop it was so frustrating. A few days ago for the first time I tried Ubuntu and it runs perfectly on my laptop lol. In fact I was able to install VMware on Ubuntu and have 11 as VM. Now 11 amazing in VM. I can’t believe I avoided Linux over the years. It’s so simple!
Are there any advantages still using Virtual Box? I used it in the past but moved to native Windows virtualization (WSL or Hyper-V Manager - works both!) which also does a good job (Installing Ubuntu without additional Software). Problem is, one needs to make decision because it does not work both. When Windows-Virtualization-Tools are active there is no chance to make VirtualBox work. Tried this years ago using VB version 6.* Still using Win10 and will not move to Windows11. But I guess they did not make changes here.
Thank you. Everything is working beautifully. I was looking for a video to make Kalilinux's screen big and the ones I have come across didn't fix the issue. I am checking your videos to see if you did on Kali.
After all the set up when clicking on start for downloading its showing Not in a hypervisor partition (HVP=0) (VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE). AMD-V is disabled in the BIOS (or by the host OS) (VERR_SVM_DISABLED). What do i do now?
You have to turn on virtualization in BIOS menu of your computer, usually while your computer is turning on you press f12 or f11 in keyboard and the bios menu will open. In the bios menu go to security tab and usually virtualization is found there. Just make sure to turn that on.
