Hey y’all! I was inspired by Julia Mazzucato to add some poll questions throughout the video. I think it’s such a fun way to interact so feel free to answer the cards ❤️ I hope you’re all having a great day!
I replace the pressed glitters in Colourpop palettes with shades from other Colourpop palettes that I don't use enough. I put a dark brown in Uh Huh Honey to make it more versatile.
@@amandahhh6521 they'll use all kinds of cosmetics. The specialty products are typically used if the deceased has had facial reconstruction with wax. It all depends on who's caring for the body.
Great declutter, Amy! As I was watching, I noticed that a goodly number of items decluttered were lipsticks (obviously because cream products go bad more often than powder products), but it occurred to me that I have never had a lipstick to develop mold. Ever. Separate, &/or smell "off" due to being rancid/change in chemicals? Yes. But never mold. I'm kinda' wondering if it's due to the move away from using parabens as preservatives, although most dermatologists agree that parabens are perfectly safe & their alternative counterparts can actually be more problematic for skin irritation, dermatitis, etc. I can only suspect that some of the companies where their lipsticks get moldy rather quickly are not using ANY kind of preservatives at all, thinking that preservatives equals bad or unsafe, but they are really needed in some form, I'd think. In my understanding, mold is a much more dangerous prospect. I may be alone in that thinking, but, YIKES! 😮 I'd be freaking out over mold. 🤯 😱 🤢
I had mold on a Pacifica lipstick but that's cause it's a natural brand. Other things have gone bud and might have grown some form of mold but only the pacifica one had obvious green mold
I think it’s fine to keep Powder eyeshadows forever but things like foundation and mascara I need to get better at tossing or, I’m totally gonna start doing this now!
Foundation has a 12 month shelf life. I do not play with that - not with my face. I use it up before it expires. Excellent declutter video. I was cracking up when you took that glitter color out. I have taken a butter knife to many colors that I truly do not like. I have no problem with an empty pan sitting in my palette. I hope you start reaching for the Uh Huh Honey palette. The colors are so pretty. I used mine all the time but stopped in the winter. I am bringing it out once we are June. It is the perfect summer palette. Good video!!
Yes I think I need to start writing the date I get things on the bottom of the product to keep better track. Of course I’m trying really hard to get through the foundations I own. Thanks for watching 😊
What I usually do with colourpop palettes is to get rid of the color/glitter in the pan, get another single that I like, press it in the colourpop mini pan and put it back to the palette.
Its been seen a lot in the recent declutter videos. Even I got rid of mine. I really wanted to like it because I am pretty bad at eyeliner so I thought the issues with it were my own. Nerp...turns out this was not the innovation we needed.
You can always cross out the names on the Party Animal palette. My niece plays with mine all the time, she’s never said anything about the names. I have a drawer of sentimental makeup. Some products just make me happy! I think you got rid of a lot. I struggle with decluttering 🤣
I wish beauty brands didn't make things with magnets, mirrors and plastic. A third of landfill waste is toilettries. I don't want to give up on my hobby - so it's up to beauty brands to do better and right now they really aren't. Everything I've decluttered and everything I've seen in all the declutters I've watched (which I LOVE watching, so satisfying) will all be going straigh to landfill in most cases.
Cam Google some brands are going plastic free! I don’t know what country you’re in, but Sparkle Fantasy Cosmetics (UK) have gone plastic-free and I’ve seen others. It’s worth googling.
I love that you have a sentimental box of makeup, so do I! It would be really fun to see you go through it and talk about the products and memories attached to them 😄
Great video! I also took that uh huh honey pressed glitter palette and then replaced it with a darker brown from a colourpop palette that I never use and was going to declutter anyways. I’m so happy that I did it because this palette was missing a dark brown.

Oh no!!! I have 3 menagerie liquid lipsticks and haven’t experienced that - but I haven’t traveled with them (put them in my purse). Hopefully their new liquid lipsticks don’t do that anymore!
Yeah I had a few people send crazy stories about getting liquid lipstick all over their purse or carpet! I know they changed the size recently so I’m curious if the problem was fixed.
I just tossed some old stuff too & replaced my HGblush while it was 50% off at The Balm. Wow what a difference lol. My go-to face palette is over 3 years old & I think I need to replace it too. By the end of the year I will be tossing a few eyeshadow palettes for being old but right now I'm milking everything as much as possible since not really wearing makeup very much right now.
I'm actually glad you only declutter because things are old/gross/the wrong shade AND you repurpose the ones that are still alright. I see video recommendations on YT for decluttering all the time and it makes me cringe because the cover pic is full of palettes from that year! I don't know how people can throw away soo many palettes. It seems like such a waste.
I understand. I try not to judge others but I personally don’t want to declutter something I love just to make room for more. I think some people feel pressured to declutter more aggressively for UA-cam content and I’m not about that either.
I’ve modified my entire Colourpop collection... it’s so satisfying to pop those little pans out and move them to another palette. Congratulations on the declutter. Love from the Pine Barrens in NJ
Are you in the basement of your house? You really do have the worst luck with mold : / But this was a good declutter. I recently pulled out my ABH contour singles to use. I got mine after everyone went gaga over them. Can't wait til I return to make-up. *Foundations are good for 2, possibly 3 yrs depending on how you store them, if they have a pump (lack of exposure to air) & spf. I tend to throw foundations out around 2.5 yrs. In this time brands are finally capturing my shade & undertone..I'm so excited and want to buy them all.. But I'm trying to restrain myself to a few.
I had a lot of Colourpop palettes that I realized I was only keeping around for one shade. So what I did was take out all of the shades I liked from each and put them in a z palette. Then I mixed the remaining shades to make sure each palette was “complete” and gave them away. So now when I get a new Colourpop palette and it has a pressed glitter, I will replace it with one of my extras in the zpalette that I kept. I honestly just throw the presses glitter away as idk what else to do with them.
I have the manic panic white foundation drops to lighten up darker foundations in the winter and fall. ❄️ 🍁 I’ve had liquid lipsticks and lipglosses give me allergic reactions on my lips. Once it was because I left one in a hot car and it created bacteria. I also had a Mac concealer get mold in it back when I was still buying Mac. I really enjoy some of the products they’ve done. The Amor Eterno collection was probably my favorite collection of products ever out together but I understand. I hope they’ve been able to fix the issues since then.
moon love lol they’ve had one weed launch a year and a half ago. What other ones have you been seeing lately? This is their second because it’s the month of April (4/20). A lot of brands are coming out with weed themed stuff.
@@nairabee245 I think I got them confused with Milk and their kush line. I can't remember what specific product I was thinking of when I wrote my comment, but I did see bongs in their PR photos of their newest palette, so I think that influenced my comment. I don't have a problem with weed, by the way. I just feel that even two marijuana-themed products makes me think of them as a weed brand, which is meh, whatever. Just my feelings on it.
Unpopular opinion: The pressed glitter is in my top 3 faves of the shades in the "Uh Huh Honey" palette, and actually made me wanna buy more pressed glitter in general!
Madisen Wilde I decluttered two of them the other day. I discovered the mouldy spots almost by accident because I twisted too much out of the bullet and the mould was on the sides.
I think it is so cute that you give your little sister makeup to play with. When I heard she was only 10, I was thinking “Don’t give her the Laura Lee palette!” Maybe if she were 16. Some makeup just has terrible names. Anything to with alcohol, drugs, and sex just annoys me.
I completely understand ur sadness about ur liquid lipstick. Same thing happened to Evil Twin from too faced. That is my absolutely favorite color. It took so long for me to find it again n when I did, I bought 2 just to be safe.
The red lipstick that you decluttered looks so much like Stila stay all day liquid lip in beso. I have fair skin as well and it is the perfect true red. You should check it out if you want to have that perfect red in your beauty arsenal. I'm enjoying this AAA thing. You're one of my favorite people to watch. I just bought my first Indie brand palette based on a review video of yours the other day! Thanks for keeping us color lovers up to date on the fun stuff!
I ended up buying a true red liquid lipstick from a new indie brand Im super excited to support but I do remember hearing lots of raves for Beso being the perfect red! I’m curious which palette did you decide to pick up? I hope you love it!!
@@AmyLovesMakeup The Spring one with the faux flowers on the front. I love pastels so much. I'm so glad we're seeing more of them lately! I'm glad you found a replacement for you red lippy! :)
Loved this video, Amy!! 🥰🥰🥰 it’s always so interesting to hear your take on things! 💖💖💖 I love that you’re sentimental - me too 💜 and I’m so sorry to hear about some of the products that you loved that you had to part with - esp the menagie lipstick! I hope it comes back and I hope that they send you a new one to make up for the packaging if it restocks 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼♥️ sending you lots of love and hope you have a great weekend!! 💕💕💕♥️
Thanks for watching!! I’m glad I’m not the only super sentimental one. It’s weird because I don’t feel like I’m materialistic but I do attention feelings to material things. 😅
Amy Loves Makeup awww of course!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 and I don’t think it’s materialistic at all 💜💜💜💜💜💜 I think it’s super sweet! Makeup is so personal and can trigger so many happy memories - if anything, I find it reverent ♥️ that you have a keepsake box of products that hold a special place 💕 that might even be a fun video idea - like a walk down memory lane if you have several that have meaning to you!! 🥰 could be fun! I still need to film today 😩 but I’ve been enjoying consuming content more so today than being productive myself 😂💖 thank you for sharing!! 💜🥰🥰🥰💛🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷😘
Did the Menagerie lippie break recently? I could swear I've seen you use that! Maybe during the holidays? Now I'm afraid 😨 to open and examine some of my older makeup! Although I'm sure that all your days are beginning to feel the same, have a nice weekend!
If I got rid of a foundation older than 12 months I'd have to bin all four of mine haha. I really only wear it on special occasions. I popped out all my uh huh honey palette shades and turned them into singles. I use singles a lot more than palettes. I love your eye makeup today :)
The hydrating Fenty looks the same way on me! And I've heard the same from a bunch of ppl who do makeup content on YT... it's the same w that tinted stuff from Colourpop... idk, it must be the sequence in which HA goes on my face that makes it look SO DRY!
I would have removed the pressed glitter aswell because I've been wanting to get some colorpop palettes! But I just can't spend money on something to have to edit it😭 let's hope they put out more stuff without
Add stickers under the Laura Lee shades to cover the original names and another on the front to fill the panel. Then your sister can design her own palette cover and shade names to fit the scheme. Fills an afternoon, doesn't lead to side eye when your sister asks someone to pour her a draaaaank at dinner...win! 😁
I have a question for fellow paler people about bronzer. I’m very pale, I have colour from this past summer but I’m still pale but enjoy using bronzer and I have found that shades meant for fair /light tones look horrid on me. If I wear no sunblock, I tan VERY dark and VERY fast and never burn. I’m Eskimo, Native American, and French heritage and I think my skin tone changes to cool and neutral, depending on sun exposure and I found bronzers that look best for me is using a super light hand tones meant for deepest dark skin tones with a blue undertone. Am I alone?
Menagerie makes some of my favorite liquid lipsticks, but I agree their packaging could be a little more sturdy. I’ve never had one break on me, but half of my caps rattle and they have from the time I got them. It’s probably how the applicator sits in the cap, but it does make me think twice about sticking it in my purse. They also need to make more red shades because their formula is amazing. Cat Fight died a tragic death 😿. I know they make a lot of alternative leaning colors, but I can’t wait for them to make more so their catalog is as big (I’d settle for even bigger, that’s fine too 😇) than it was before they rebranded.
That's great that you finally removed the pressed glitter from the Uh-Huh Honey palette! 💛 Maybe you can place a sticker of a smiley, sun or something cute where the empty space is if it feels too weird? 😉 And that's really sad with the Menagerie liquid lipstick! Do you know how it happened? Maybe reach out to the owner to make her aware of it? I own two of their liquid lips and really enjoy them, would be sad if they broke so I feel your pain 🙈
Sis I would love any of that.. idc if it's bad and I know how to sanitized makeup or be sanitary with it! I have none and no money and it would mean so much❤
Would love to see a look from Makeup Geek row: prim & proper to americano PLUS your Lisa Eldridge Velvet Muse. I’m a fair skinned older red head with cool tone skin (blue veins) and would love to see this look so I can enjoy vicariously. Ordered those makeup geek colors for my birthday WAY back. Waited until Beach Please was available and immediately ordered but then Marlena safely closed down the warehouse. I am dying to see these colors in an eye look on a fair skinned red head. BTW I love that you do Indy brands; I’m so tempted to get a few shades from Sydney Grace.
TGIF, Amy! I love your channel and you are the prime source for me to get Indie info. In this video, you show several lip glosses from the same company that all had issues with the caps breaking. You said that the formula was good. What company are they from? Thank you in advance. XOXO Suzan
I've never tried pressed glitters, but I decided to order some from an indie brand because either way I'll know if I would like them, and I can support an indie brand 😁
I'm surprised the Laura Lee party animal palette was so bad for you! I have it and love it, it's my one brights palette because it works so well for me. Oh well, that's what happens with makeup lol
I found it to be so patchy and hard to work with for me. Maybe if I tried harder to get to know the formula and make it work I could have but I have so many other bright palettes I enjoy more that are effortless. I’m really glad it works for you. Thanks for watching 😊
For your little sister and the names; use a sharpie to mark over them, or nail polish, or something else that’s black. I doubt she’ll notice the difference and be far too excited by the colours. That’s what I do when I’m worried about it, and passing on mine. It’s a good trick to have handy. ^_*
Thankfully I have never had a lipstck break on me. I didnt really ever think about the packaging breaking. I will be super careful in the future. I always throw some in my purse with out thinking.
So sad about the Gemini palette I wonder why that happened 🥺 also decluttered some of the same foundations recently like the Wet N Wild and Maybelline foundations.
did you throw out the melt palette yet? I'd love to see some dupes of those greens. I own the Muerte palette and I like it but I'll be keeping an eye on it due to all the complications that seeem to come from their palettes.
Amy Loves Makeup it’s okay, I was watching your green palette collection video and you mentioned that the Kaleidos palette is similar in tone so I might pick that one up
I recently depotted the glitters from my Sweet Talk palette and was going to replace them with some of my Colourpop singles. Only I didn’t realise the pan sizes are COMPLETELY different, so I had to but the glitters back 🤦♀️
Amy Loves Makeup oh I’m so sorry amy.. your palette was so beautiful I was sad for you to hear about how the brand handled customer service and fulfillment :(
The pressed glitter from the Huh Huh honey is sooooooo pretty. And pressed glitters are far less dangerous than people think. There is so much misinformation about them. But obv there is a tiny tiny risk and everyone should be careful and use them at their own risks.
I personally have very sensitive eyes and have had eye surgery twice so I’m not willing to take that risk. But I agree everyone should choose for themselves. 😊
There’s also the issue that colourpop glitters aren’t biodegradable so they end up in the oceans where they poison marine animals. Other companies offer eco friendly glitters.

This was a very good declutter! :D
Thanks Paulina 💗
I bet you feel much lighter without all the extra ''clutter'' makeup you let go of! Loved watching this
This video made me scared of my older lipsticks I kinda think I should get rid of them now 😬
That eye makeup is stunning!Love the polls too!
Unpopular opinion: The pressed glitter is in my top 3 faves of the shades in the "Uh Huh Honey" palette, and actually made me wanna buy more pressed glitter in general!
....now I need to check my Bite Lipsticks! I never had that issue with Menagerie lipsticks, but I had their Makeup Monsters lipsticks.
Madisen Wilde I decluttered two of them the other day. I discovered the mouldy spots almost by accident because I twisted too much out of the bullet and the mould was on the sides.
dobcsek oh no! I checked mine and they appear fine, but I’m still nervous. I think I’ll have to at minimum throw them out by the end of summer.
can we talk about this eye look though?! it’s gorgeous
I think it is so cute that you give your little sister makeup to play with. When I heard she was only 10, I was thinking “Don’t give her the Laura Lee palette!” Maybe if she were 16. Some makeup just has terrible names. Anything to with alcohol, drugs, and sex just annoys me.
What nail polish are you wearing?! I love that shade of green
Love this kind of declutter!!
Love your entire outfit and look, Amy! Way to go. What's the brand & shade of your nail polish? I love the color & shimmer! TFS.
It’s a nail sticker sheet thing sorry 😅 And thank you!
Yes it was pretty recent ):
If I got rid of a foundation older than 12 months I'd have to bin all four of mine haha.
I really only wear it on special occasions.
I popped out all my uh huh honey palette shades and turned them into singles. I use singles a lot more than palettes.
I love your eye makeup today :)
Could you use the becca foundation in vanilla? Boxy thought I was way lighter than i am lol.
My experience with them is they send me stuff too dark for me
@@stephanied6711 they send me concealers too dark foundation too light and bronzer and blush too light
Possibly. I don’t think I’ve ever tried any Becca complexion products to know my shade
@@AmyLovesMakeup ok lmk if you want it. You can have it. I barely used 1 pump I just wanted to see if it may work. Lol. It didnt clearly.
ShesBlessed x3 I’d love to try it if you’re not getting any use.
The hydrating Fenty looks the same way on me! And I've heard the same from a bunch of ppl who do makeup content on YT... it's the same w that tinted stuff from Colourpop... idk, it must be the sequence in which HA goes on my face that makes it look SO DRY!
Your skin looks amazing...love the whole look, so glowy! 💛💚 xo
Thank you 😊
I would have removed the pressed glitter aswell because I've been wanting to get some colorpop palettes! But I just can't spend money on something to have to edit it😭 let's hope they put out more stuff without
Yes I understand. I bought it not realizing it was a pressed glitter or else I probably would have skipped it
@@AmyLovesMakeup 😭😭 that would happen to me!
Love your nail polish!!
Thanks 😊
That’s a cute idea to add a sticker! And I didn’t reach out to them just because I bought the lipstick so long ago I didn’t want to be a bother. ):
@@AmyLovesMakeup ahh I get that! Hopefully the packaging today doesn't break like that, maybe it could have been a bad batch ❤️
Having the poll was fun! Hmmm... guess I should look through some of the older lipsticks.. though it might be scary.. 😻💙💙
Sis I would love any of that.. idc if it's bad and I know how to sanitized makeup or be sanitary with it! I have none and no money and it would mean so much❤
Looking ever so summery ! :) I like declutters, well done, Amy. Note to self: pls wear some yellow shadow soon.
Did the same with my CP Honey.
Could you sharpie over the names of the Laura Lee palette
Totally Enjoy a good declutter!
Have you tried the fenty primers, they are supposed to work well with her foundations, try the first primer with the 2nd foundation see if that helps
I’m not sure if I have all of those shades from Makeup Geek. I think maybe just americano. ☹️ Im sorry about your order being delayed!
TGIF, Amy! I love your channel and you are the prime source for me to get Indie info. In this video, you show several lip glosses from the same company that all had issues with the caps breaking. You said that the formula was good. What company are they from? Thank you in advance. XOXO Suzan
They were Milan Rowe liquid lipsticks. And thank you ❤️❤️
Oh my your bite lipstick 🤢🤮 i bought a bunch of them when they went on sale at sephora recently i gonna have to keep an eye on them hahaha !😆
I've never tried pressed glitters, but I decided to order some from an indie brand because either way I'll know if I would like them, and I can support an indie brand 😁
Oooo Which indie brand did you try? I absolutely love pressed glitters! I've only every tried Dear Katie Brown and Colourpop, though. 💜
That’s funny, I have a box like that too!
Have you tried Elf’s Hydrating Camo Concealer?
Yes I really enjoy it! I have a review video coming up soon where I mention it
Sweet! I can’t wait to see the video!
@@AmyLovesMakeup yeah, no reason to work for it! I'm glad you have stuff you love :) I just think it's funny how that works out
For your little sister and the names; use a sharpie to mark over them, or nail polish, or something else that’s black. I doubt she’ll notice the difference and be far too excited by the colours. That’s what I do when I’m worried about it, and passing on mine. It’s a good trick to have handy. ^_*
You can put another single shadow into the uh huh honey palette and do a grwm with your semi self made palette haha XD
Your eye look is so cute 😊😊
Thank you 😊
did you throw out the melt palette yet? I'd love to see some dupes of those greens. I own the Muerte palette and I like it but I'll be keeping an eye on it due to all the complications that seeem to come from their palettes.
Yes I did already get rid of it sorry
Amy Loves Makeup it’s okay, I was watching your green palette collection video and you mentioned that the Kaleidos palette is similar in tone so I might pick that one up
Great declutter! I actually used the Temptu bronzer yesterday 🙈🤣
I’ve used it on my pale legs to add some color to them when I wear dresses or skirts to an event or on a date. 😅
I love what you’re wearing! Is it a dress or a top?
It’s a dress 😊
Ouch, this reminds me of all the too matte or too dark foundations in my collection ._. I should really get rid of them.
Loved this video ❤️
I recently depotted the glitters from my Sweet Talk palette and was going to replace them with some of my Colourpop singles. Only I didn’t realise the pan sizes are COMPLETELY different, so I had to but the glitters back 🤦♀️
Right! I wish you could buy the tiny ones on their website that would be awesome
Curious which indie brand you had a bad experience with. I hope you will let us know what happened so we know to avoid the brand
It’s Ami Hearts Beauty.
Amy Loves Makeup oh I’m so sorry amy.. your palette was so beautiful I was sad for you to hear about how the brand handled customer service and fulfillment :(
🤢 I have recently purchased a few bite lipstick so gross
Great video!
Was
the indie brand Amy hearts beauty?
The pressed glitter from the Huh Huh honey is sooooooo pretty. And pressed glitters are far less dangerous than people think. There is so much misinformation about them. But obv there is a tiny tiny risk and everyone should be careful and use them at their own risks.
I personally have very sensitive eyes and have had eye surgery twice so I’m not willing to take that risk. But I agree everyone should choose for themselves. 😊
There’s also the issue that colourpop glitters aren’t biodegradable so they end up in the oceans where they poison marine animals. Other companies offer eco friendly glitters.
@@sallynewman7320 I use tape to remove them. So no glitter goes to the ocean.
